I think the majority of rock stars (and movies stars) have. Interesting interview. I wouldn't be surprised in the least. So many vulgar, no-talent people "making it big" - not to mention I've always thought there's a spiritual aspect to the "idol worship" that became so prevalent in the 60s - prior to that people would just go an listen to a concert and enjoy the music, not go into a rapturous state of ecstasy over the very sight of the performers. In fact, I think the same thing is happening with politicians these days. I've never, ever before seen people so polarized over candidates. I had a once good friend turn against me because I said I don't like Sarah Palin ("You can't be a real Conservative if you don't like Sarah Palin!"); many think Zero is the greatest thing ever for no discernible reason; I even gave up on the Tea Party because they think God is a Republican, and any Republican candidate is His choice. A former Tea Party friend told me they think I'm crazy because I believe that NO politician can save the country, and Jesus is coming back soon. Well, I'll leave them to their "Republican messiah" - I'll be enjoying myself at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb while they stay here and watch him flounder....
