OK peeps, Live Chat has been tested and works very well. It has all kinds of cool features - emoticons, sounds, and even "private rooms" where you can talk with someone apart from the rest of the group.
You can make an advance date with anyone from the board at any time to chat, or just go in and see if anyone is available whenever you want to talk to someone, but it might be fun if we had some regularly scheduled "chat parties" where those who are interested could grab some snacks and all get together at the same time each week for some live fellowship.
Please indicate in the poll what would be a good time for you to begin the chat; times given are Eastern Daylight Savings Time. The times given are also approximate; there's no need to stop chatting at the end of the specified time period. If other times work better for you, please check "other" and tell us the time you prefer in a post. You can choose as many options as you like.

I think a scheduled chat is a great idea! I love the fellowship in a chat room, only ours wouldn't have any weirdos in it trying to stir up trouble. ;D

I like this idea too. My only problem is tuesdays are chess club(which lasts til about 10) and i'm in the mountain west so i'm a little bit out of the zone.....and wouldn't be able to get on in time to join the fun. I like Thursdays for something like this.

WS - The times given are a basic start time; we'd go for as long as people are interested in continuing to chat, and I'm sure we have other members out west (and even in other countries), so they'd naturally go later.
Please vote for the best days and times for you, and bear in mind, any time you see someone is on the board (at the bottom of the index page) whom you'd like to chat with, you can send them a PM and invite them over to the chat room. You can even do a private one-on-one chat.
You can set your PMs so you get a pop-up box as soon as you get one, so you'll have the invitation right away.

I can't say what time I'd be interested in , for the life of me I can't work out the time differences, but i know they don't go together very well.

Check the moving news strip at the top of the home page for announcements of new chats.  You will need to be a registered user to participate, and if you don't have Java you can download it when you click onto chat. |

Sorry i missed the chat guys. I was out with my lovely wife eating breakfast at perkins. I had french toast, eggs and hashbrowns. Very good. We had a wonderful older lady serving us who was very nice too. She got a good tip.
