We all remember the Ebola virus scare back during the Obama years, a fitting metaphor for his presidency, and how that outbreak never really amounted to much of anything on a global scale. But the Wuhan coronavirus, even if it were to be contained, has already sickened many more people than Ebola ever did. Regardless of its original source, the Wuhan coronavirus is something that people in all nations need to be on the lookout for and taking very seriously.

NTEB sources in China have told us that the Chinese government is sending teams to houses of people known to be infected with the coronavirus and sealing them in their homes, effectively sealing thier doom and leaving them to die. That is the true state of what is happening right now. China has also come under fire for attempting to cover up the fact that the original coronavirus whistleblower died of the disease. Beijing has also begun rounding up some sufferers and sending them to prisons as new death toll hits 724. All this is happening at the same time that Chinese leader Xi Jinping has proclaimed himself to be a god and demands the people worship him. Coincidence?



American Citizen Diagnosed With Coronavirus Dies in China

FROM THE WSJ: The person was 60 years old and died Thursday at Wuhan’s Jinyintan Hospital, a spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Beijing said Saturday. He provided no further details. “We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss,” he said. “Out of the respect for the family’s privacy, we have no further comment.”



A spokesperson at Jinyintan Hospital referred questions to the Wuhan foreign affairs office, which didn’t answer phone calls on Saturday.

Chinese authorities said fatalities in China from the coronavirus reached a single-day high of 86 on Friday, raising the national death toll to 722. A Japanese man in his 60s who was suspected of contracting the coronavirus also died in Wuhan, the Japanese Foreign Ministry said Saturday. It didn’t say when he died.



The ministry said the official cause of death was “viral pneumonia.” It said hospital officials told the Japanese Embassy in China that they highly suspected that man had the virus, but test results never confirmed it.



Medical personnel in Wuhan have been trying to determine whether sick patients have been infected with the coronavirus or a more common illness. More than 500 miles from the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, 30 million people are in lockdown - some quite literally locked in their homes - as Chinese authorities resort to extreme lengths to curb the spread of a respiratory illness that has stubbornly defied containment.



Across the coastal province of Zhejiang, the worst-hit area after Hubei province, four big cities have essentially put their populations under a form of house arrest: Only one person from each household is allowed to leave, and only every second day, to buy supplies.



To leave their residential compounds and to enter supermarkets, residents must have their government-issued ticket - a kind of passport to the outside world - stamped or their special identification codes scanned. Their temperatures are recorded at every gate.



"Every home has shut its doors," said Chen Zongyao, a 55-year-old man in northern Wenzhou who, fortuitously, had stocked up on rice and fish before the outbreak reached Zhejiang. "We are totally isolated."

The world's attention has been focused in recent weeks on Hubei province and its capital, Wuhan, the root of a coronavirus outbreak that has killed more than 720 people in China and infected more than 34,000. Chinese authorities have launched a military-style effort to contain the virus in Hubei, building new hospital wards and fashioning huge isolation centers in gyms and stadiums.



But a similar situation is unfolding in Zhejiang, one of China's most prosperous regions. Alibaba, the megalithic e-commerce company, is headquartered in the provincial capital, Hangzhou, and Xi Jinping, China's current president, ran the province as party secretary here from 2002 until 2007.



Zhejiang has the most coronavirus infections after Hubei, leading to draconian restrictions in the main cities, from Hangzhou and Ningbo, one the world's biggest ports, in the north to Taizhou and Wenzhou in the south.



The most severe are in Wenzhou, which has 421 confirmed cases of infection, the highest of any city outside Hubei province. More than 100,000 people from Wenzhou live in Wuhan, and many of them came home for the Lunar New Year holiday, bringing the infection with them.


Public transportation in Wenzhou has been shuttered since Jan. 31, and businesses were ordered to close until at least Feb. 18. Funerals and weddings have been banned.


"I'm telling you, this place is just like Wuhan now. It's the second Wuhan," said a woman who works at a rest stop by the southern toll gate into the city, gesturing toward Wenzhou on the other side. She asked that her name not be used.



The tollgate was closed except for two lanes, where police in full protective gear were checking paperwork and temperatures. Only registered city residents were allowed in - and they were told they would not be allowed back out.


"For your health, please be cooperative during the checkup," a sign said. The cars contained families with babies, grumpy business executives, young couples, all wearing masks.



They joined the line with trucks laden with sweet potatoes and bearing banners on their hoods declaring they were bringing in food supplies. Authorities are sending food - fruit, porridge, bread, instant noodles - to trapped citizens every day.



There has been talk in town about food shortages. At a Walmart in Wenzhou, there were long lines of people - sometimes stretching for more than two hours - waiting to buy rice, instant noodles and canned foods. The store was completely out of fresh food, one shopper said.



As the outbreak took hold, about 20,000 people were placed under "centralized quarantine" in Wenzhou hotels, where they are now joined by anyone who has had contact with an infected person or has been to Hubei in the previous two weeks.



Chen Bin, a lawyer, was sent to centralized quarantine after returning from his hometown in Hubei, along with his two children and his in-laws.



Now, they are all in different rooms in the same hotel and can communicate only through their phones. At the beginning, Chen said, he couldn't sleep because he was worried that "even the air is filled with germs."



"I'm going crazy," a quarantined woman wrote on Douyin, as TikTok is called in China, from a Wenzhou hotel room. "Not comfortable with sleeping, not comfortable sitting. My whole body is aching," she wrote, taking selfies.



Others are even less happy.



When police with SWAT-style gear including plastic shields showed up at the home of one Wenzhou woman who had close contact with a confirmed case, she refused to go into centralized quarantine.



"I don't need it!" the woman, in pink pajamas, yelled at the police.



"It's a must! It's a government order!" the officer yelled back, a video of the encounter shows.



The woman stabbed at them with a knife to try to fend them off. They eventually subdued her and got her into quarantine.



But she is an unusual case. There has been relatively little grumbling here: Wenzhou people can see all too clearly, thanks to the example of Wuhan, what happens when movement is allowed.



"I think people understand and agree with the policy of shutting everything down," Chen said. "They are scared of the virus."



In an apartment complex nearby, a 32-year-old mother who uses "Lemon" as her English name said she had learned to cook during the lockdown, which she is spending in her apartment with her husband and 4-year-old daughter.



"I'm fine with staying at home, even for longer," Lemon, who works in a government-related job and also did not want to be identified, said over the phone as her daughter giggled nearby. "She's too small to understand what's happening. She just knows that 'the virus that wears a crown' is terrible and we can't leave home."



A woman who runs a small hardware factory in the area was matter-of-fact about having to close her business for an unspecified period. "Life is more important than making money," said the woman, who wanted to be identified only by her surname of Xia.



Still, the situation in the city has led to an outbreak of anti-Wenzhou sentiment similar to the ostracism people from Hubei have described. People who were ordered to quarantine themselves at home found they were unwelcome in their compounds, with their neighbors directing them to a hotel instead.



Some people in other parts of Zhejiang reported extreme responses when they returned from trips to Wenzhou.



Local authorities put a "No visitors allowed" sign on Allen Li's family home in Hangzhou and locked the door with a metal chain from the outside. "We argued with them, but they said it's a decision from above," Li told the South China Morning Post. "We understand we should not go out. But this is not humane. What if there's a fire at our home at midnight and we can't get anyone to unlock it?"



For now, people are hunkering down. Chen, the well-stocked resident from northern Wenzhou, expects to be at home for weeks: "I think there's no hope for the lockdown finishing this month."

(Natural News) As the totally discredited mainstream media continues to pretend that the coronavirus pandemic isn’t real, the truth is starting to emerge from establishment scientists who are warning the world that this outbreak cannot be contained.



One of those individuals is Nancy Messonnier. She works for the CDC and previously served as an “Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer” with the Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases (DDID) under the CDC. (The current director is Dr. Jay C. Butler, see CDC description here.)



Messonnier was recently quoted in a Bloomberg News article, stating, “We are preparing as if this were the next pandemic,” and reiterating that it, “would be impossible” to fully contain the virus and prevent the outbreak from spreading. Word-for-word, from Bloomberg:



Total containment isn’t in the cards, said Nancy Messonnier, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases. “Given the nature of this virus and how it’s spreading, that would be impossible. Our goal is to slow this thing down… We are preparing as if this were the next pandemic.”



Notably, this quote contradicts the official denials being aggressively pushed by the CDC, WHO and the totally dishonest, anti-human mainstream media. According to those “authoritative sources,” the coronavirus pandemic is no big deal, is completely under control, and poses no threat to western nations. Anyone who contradicts that official narrative is immediately branded a “conspiracy source.”



It begs the question: Why is Nancy Messonnier admitting the truth that nearly all other “official” sources are denying?



The job history of Messonnier reveals a fascinating theory that might explain all this. Let’s take a look…

Messonnier is a product of the military wing of the CDC, with a history of working in the areas of biological weapons and mass vaccination programs in Africa


We’re not saying that Messonnier is a bad person with evil intent, but Messonnier is a product of the military wing of the CDC. Her previous title was “Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer” with the Deputy Director for Infectious Diseases (DDID). If that sounds like a military branch, that’s because it is. The entire CDC is essentially a military operation, and CDC officials wear full blown military uniforms and follow a military code of conduct.



The very existence of the CDC is wildly unconstitutional, of course. The CDC claims the authoritative power to medically kidnap anyone at any time (see their justification under law, here) and yet no one at the CDC answers to the American voters. The head of the CDC is not elected, and voters have no power to recall anyone at the CDC who might be corrupt or a danger to the public. This doesn’t mean everyone at the CDC is evil. Like most corrupt, anti-human organization, the CDC is organized with oblivious low-level and mid-level workers who are isolated from the anti-human agenda of the top-level operators who are driven by pure evil and an intense desire to extinguish human life.

Where did they go? Millions left Wuhan before quarantine

SHANGHAI — For weeks after the first reports of a mysterious new virus in Wuhan, millions of people poured out of the central Chinese city, cramming onto buses, trains and planes as the first wave of China’s great Lunar New Year migration broke across the nation. Some carried with them the new virus that has since claimed over 8 00 lives and sickened more than 37,000 people.



Officials finally began to seal the borders on Jan. 23. But it was too late. Speaking to reporters a few days after the the city was put under quarantine, the mayor estimated that 5 million people had already left.

An Associated Press analysis of domestic travel patterns using map location data from Chinese tech giant Baidu shows that in the two weeks before Wuhan’s lockdown, nearly 70% of trips out of the central Chinese city were within Hubei province. Baidu has a map app that is similar to Google Maps, which is blocked in China.



Another 14% of the trips went to the neighboring provinces of Henan, Hunan, Anhui and Jiangxi. Nearly 2% slipped down to Guangdong province, the coastal manufacturing powerhouse across from Hong Kong, and the rest fanned out across China. The cities outside Hubei province that were top destinations for trips from Wuhan between Jan. 10 and Jan. 24 were Chongqing, a municipality next to Hubei province, Beijing and Shanghai.



The travel patterns broadly track with the early spread of the virus. The majority of confirmed cases and deaths have occurred in China, within Hubei province, followed by high numbers of cases in central China, with pockets of infections in Chongqing, Shanghai and Beijing as well.



“It’s definitely too late,” said Jin Dong-Yan, a molecular virologist at Hong Kong University’s School of Biomedical Sciences. “Five million out. That’s a big challenge. Many of them may not come back to Wuhan but hang around somewhere else. To control this outbreak, we have to deal with this. On one hand, we need to identify them. On the other hand, we need to address the issue of stigma and discrimination.”



He added that the initial spread of travelers to provinces in central China with large pools of migrant workers and relatively weaker health care systems “puts a big burden on the hospitals … of these resource-limited provinces.”



Baidu gathers travel data based on more than 120 billion daily location requests from its map app and other apps that use Baidu’s location services. Only data from users who agree to share their location is recorded and the company says data is masked to protect privacy. Baidu’s publicly available data shows proportional travel, not absolute numbers of recorded trips, and does not include trips by people who don’t use mobile phones or apps that rely on Baidu’s popular location services.



Public health officials and academics have been using this kind of mapping data for years to track the potential spread of disease.



A group of researchers from Southampton University’s WorldPop research group, which studies population dynamics, used 2013-2015 data from Baidu’s location services and international flight itineraries to make a predictive global risk map for the likely spread of the virus from Wuhan.



It’s important to understand the population movements out of Wuhan before the city’s lock down, said Lai Shengjie, a WorldPop researcher who used to work at China’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention.



“Maybe they hadn’t developed symptoms but could transmit the virus. We need to look at destinations across China and the world and focus on the main destinations and try to prepare for disease control and prevention,” he said.



The last trains left Wuhan the morning of Jan. 23, cutting off a surge of outbound travel that had begun three days earlier, Baidu data shows. Nearby cities rushed to impose travel restrictions of their own. From Jan. 23 to Jan. 26, the 15 cities that Baidu data shows received the most travelers from Wuhan - a combined 70% - all imposed some level of travel restrictions.



Other nations soon followed suit, including the United States, Australia, Singapore, New Zealand and the Philippines, all of which have sharply restricted entry for people coming from China. Others, like Italy and Indonesia, have barred flights.



WorldPop researchers found that travel out of Wuhan has historically ramped up in the weeks before Lunar New Year’s Day. Based on historical travel patterns, they identified 18 high-risk cities within China that received the most travelers from Wuhan during this period. They then used 2018 flight itineraries from the International Air Transport Association to map the global connectivity of those cities.



They note that travel patterns after restrictions started rolling out on Jan. 23 will not match historical norms and that the cities they identified are initial ports of landing; travelers could have subsequently moved elsewhere.



The top 10 global destinations for travelers from high-risk Chinese cities around Lunar New Year, according to their analysis, were Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Australia.



In Africa, Egypt, South Africa, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria and Kenya topped the list.



The African continent is particularly vulnerable because of the weaker health infrastructure in many countries, and the longer cases go undetected, the more likely they are to spread.



“Capacity is quite weak in many African health services,” Dr. Michel Yao, emergency operations manager for the World Health Organization in Africa, told the AP. This new virus “could overwhelm health systems we have in Africa.”



The Africa Centers for Disease Control, formed three years ago in response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa, said screening has been stepped up at ports of entry across Africa. Egypt began screening passengers from affected areas in China on Jan. 16. Over the next eight days, Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa, Mauritius and Kenya all put screening systems in place. No confirmed cases have been reported.



Lai and his colleagues said they found a “high correlation” between the early spread of coronavirus cases and the geographical risk patterns they identified.



The first case of the virus outside China was reported on Jan. 13 in Thailand, followed two days later by Japan, the countries with the highest connectivity risk, according to WorldPop’s analysis. Within 10 days of Wuhan’s quarantine, the virus had spread to more than two dozen countries; nine of the 10 countries with the most flight connections to at-risk mainland cities also had the highest numbers of confirmed cases, mostly afflicting people who had been in China.



The pattern isn’t perfect; Zhejiang province, for example, was not a top destination from Wuhan this year, according to Baidu data, but now has among the highest numbers of confirmed cases.



“Our aim was to help guide some of the surveillance and thinking around the control measures,” said Andrew Tatem, the director of WorldPop, adding that his group plans to update their analysis.



“There was a huge amount of movement out of the Wuhan region before the controls came into place,” he said. “Now we’re getting to stage of having data from multiple places on the scale of outbreaks elsewhere.”



Scientists have identified the new virus as a coronavirus, a family of viruses that includes ones that can cause the common cold, as well as others that cause more serious illnesses, like SARS, or severe acute respiratory syndrome.



Many are now focused on what will happen after the second wave of the Lunar New Year rush as people once again crowd onto trains, buses and planes to head back to work. The Chinese government extended the holiday, which was supposed to end on Jan. 30, to Feb. 2. Shanghai, Beijing and several Chinese provinces ordered businesses to remain shut through Sunday, leaving the nation’s great megalopolises feeling like ghost towns.



“It’s in cities where people interact much more,” Tatem said. “That’s potentially the worry of lots of people coming back in. A few people seeding that could result in a bigger problem.”

Update (1900ET): The latest official "numbers" from China's National Health Commission are out and they confirm that after a modest slowdown in the past few days, the number of new cases has once again rebounded.

26 Countries Hit with Cases of Coronavirus as Death Toll Continues to Rise

26 countries are reported to have at least one case of the coronavirus as of now; Thailand experienced 7 new cases on Saturday; There is speculation that the actual numbers of deaths, especially in China, is being highly underreported; Chinese source claims that bodies are being cremated at an unprecedented rate.



As of Friday, reports indicate that a minimum of 720 people have died in China alone from the coronavirus. A couple of sources believe that number is actually much higher – well into the thousands. Thus far, from what is known, 26 different countries have open cases with China being the leader with over 34,000. The city of Wuhan itself is on lockdown, a city of over 11 million people.



There are several countries around the globe that only have a single case of the virus so far such as Belgium, Cambodia, Finland, and others. Some have less than 10; Canada, France, India, Italy, and more. As you would expect, it’s China and their neighbors who are facing the biggest struggle. On Saturday alone, Thailand received 7 new cases. While the Philippines also have less than 10 cases so far, they recorded the first death outside of China related to the virus.



Of even further concern is the fact that several different sources are claiming confirmation that China is cremating bodies at an unprecedented rate in an attempt to conceal the true death count. A crematorium employee is quoted as saying, “We need to pick up bodies when they call us. Every day, we need at least 100 body bags. We can’t stop because we can’t leave the bodies outside for a long time.” China is continuing to turn multiple local business buildings into temporary hospitals in addition to the hospital(s) they’ve built in order to treat those infected.

(Natural News) Two weeks after a draconian quarantine was slapped down on Wuhan, China, the coronavirus pandemic is now spreading out of control, despite the desperate efforts of the communist Chinese regime to control it. In an emergency order that will no doubt shock the world, China’s capital city of Beijing is now under a pandemic lock down / quarantine order.



A breaking news alert just published by the Chinese language Liberty Times Net now confirms that Beijing is under pandemic quarantine lock down: (translated from Chinese)



…today the Beijing authorities also issued a “epidemic prevention and control notice strict residential closed management”, declaring that Beijing has also entered a “closed city” state.



According to the notice, Beijing further strict “community closure management”, foreign vehicles and personnel are not allowed to enter, arriving in Beijing must also report health status, complete the registration of personal information.



Those who refuse to accept medical observation, home observation and other preventive measures, which constitute violations of public security management, shall be severely punished by the public security organs in accordance with the law.



This means the original Wuhan quarantine is fallen, and the pandemic is now on track to spread across China, throughout Asia and eventually reach the far corners of the world. If China cannot contain it using draconian, military police measures that utterly deny the human rights of its own citizens, what hope do more free societies have of containing the outbreak?



80 cities now under quarantine in China, impacting hundreds of millions of people

The number of people under quarantine lock down in China now exceeds the entire population of the United States of America.

(Natural News) Undercover journalists in China have documented appalling conditions in Hubei Province funeral homes that are processing the dead produced by the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. According to reports published in Taiwan, bodies in China are piling up for a week as the cremation ovens are running 24/7, driving funeral home workers to near-collapse as they burn hundreds of bodies per day with no end in sight.



A bombshell story published in Chinese by Liberty Times Net reveals that just one funeral home is “cremating 316 bodies per day” as its workers are driven to total exhaustion with just two hours of sleep per day.



On Feb. 3rd, in just one day, that one funeral home received 127 bodies, say undercover journalists. LTN reports that bodies have been piling up since Jan. 22, saying, “In addition, the Chinese media to the scene of the investigation found that there are deceased waiting for a week can not be cremated, funeral home staff pointed out that from the 22nd of last month, the death toll has soared, the current manpower and vehicles are completely inadequate.”



While the total numbers are not yet clear, at minimum, HUNDREDS of bodies are being cremated per day… and the workers are falling behind as bodies pile up

Note that the 316 bodies per day is from just one funeral home. That’s nowhere near the actual total of bodies being cremated in the region, of course. Another funeral home in the region, the “Hankou Funeral Home,” is documented to have the capacity to cremate 576 bodies per day all by itself.



We do not yet know how many cremation centers are operating in the Hubei Province, where the Wuhan city resides, but just from these two, the cremation capacity is nearly 900 bodies per day, and even then the bodies are piling up. From these facts we can deduce that the actual death rate in the region most likely exceeds 900 bodies per day.



This is true even as the official Chinese government’s figures claim fewer than 100 deaths per day. (Today’s official figures claimed just 89 deaths.) If the deaths were actually below 100 per day, the crematoriums would not have bodies piling up, obviously.



As Natural News reported yesterday, it is well known that cremation vans are running 24/7 on the streets of Hubei Province, delivering dead bodies to the crematoriums in rapid succession.




Prepare for 7,500 dead bodies per day within 30 days in China

Earlier today, Imperial College of London Professor Neil Ferguson estimated that China is already experiencing 50,000 new infections per day.



Given the 15% mortality rate that has now been triple-confirmed, those numbers will, within a few weeks, translate into 7,500 new deaths per day, completely overwhelming China’s crematoriums, hospitals, transport vans, medical personnel and entire health care infrastructure. Essentially, the streets will be littered with dead bodies, and any realistic effort to process those bodies will either require bulldozing mass graves or transporting those bodies to other provinces for cremation. But that would mean exporting the coronavirus and accelerating its spread, of course.



So you see the conundrum in all this.



China is now facing a pandemic apocalypse scenario that threatens the entire nation and the power base of its communist regime.

(Natural News) As bad as coronavirus is getting in China where the outbreak originated, the effects of the bug are soon going to be felt the world over, even in places where it has yet to make an appearance.



As reported by The Epoch Times, the pandemic is beginning to cause major disruptions in China’s shipping industry as lines are re-routed to reduce virus exposure while other nations are cutting their port calls to the Asian giant.



It’s a worsening situation, say analysts, that could set up delays of goods and components for months ahead.



Because of the virus’ pervasiveness, entire cities have essentially been shuttered — quarantined by Chinese health and government officials battling to curb the spread of coronavirus. So, too, have factories in the worst-afflicted areas.



And global air travel is suffering as well.



The Epoch Times notes further:



China’s decision to extend its Lunar New Year holiday period until Feb. 10 has compounded logistical complications, despite its ports staying open. China is a vital link to the container sector, transporting everything from fresh food to phones and designer clothes as well as industrial parts.



The government extended the Lunar New Year holiday as a means of curbing the virus’ spread, but it’s not working: Tens of thousands are now sick, hundreds are dead, and there is no evidence that the virus is actually being ‘contained.’



As such, the more it spreads, the more the government reacts with quarantines and other restrictions, which only compounds the problem of reduced factory production and delays in getting products shipped.



But the supply disruptions are not all due to China. Major container lines Maersk, MSC, and CMA CGM all have reduced port calls to China over coronavirus fears.



‘This really is the perfect storm’

Already, there has been such a reduction in exports from China to global markets that industries in other countries are shuttering for the time being. One of them is Hyundai Motors in South Korea; the company said it will suspend its production because of a lack of spare parts.



And sea cargo flow disruptions are now making worse an already pressured situation for shipping lines as they have been dealing with weaker global markets and higher costs imposed by new International Maritime Organization regulations over the use of lower sulfur fuel.



Logistics at Chinese ports have also been affected. For instance, truck drivers and port workers have been quarantined either at their homes or otherwise away from their places of employment. Also, warehouses in and around Chinese docks are not functioning at full capacity, either. Ships are being diverted from Chinese ports to South Korea, The Epoch Times reports.



One of the world’s major container terminals at Busan in South Korea has seen a spillover of capacity at 78 percent and that could rise even more from its usual 70-percent level.



“Shippers are parking cargo at our ports, so later, perhaps when the coronavirus dies down and the level of cargo (backlogged in China ports) decreases, they can deploy a small ship to carry these cargo to their destination in Chinese ports,” one port official told the newspaper.



The official added that if container levels grew to 80 percent overcapacity or more, it would become difficult to efficiently operate Busan.



Lasse Kristofferson, the CEO of Norwegian shipping group Torvald Klaveness, said in an interview with Reuters that 25 percent of the company’s container fleet has been affected by cancellations.



“This is largely due to lower volumes on China. This is normal during Lunar New Year, but it seems to us that the volumes are lower than normal for this period — likely impacted by the coronavirus,” he said.



U.S. container firms aren’t faring much better. Industry consultant Jon Monroe, said blank sailings in February were higher than normal, and that even when the virus becomes contained, there will be a rush to ship goods into and out of China, creating logjams.



“Everybody will be making up for lost time. This is really the perfect storm,” he said.

WHO now admits this may be just the beginning of a global pandemic

This came on the same day that WHO director general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus suddenly admitted that the coronavirus outbreak cases we’re seeing in China may be just “the tip of the iceberg” in terms of what is yet to come, reported the South China Morning Post:



“There have been some concerning instances of onward #2019nCoV spread from people with no travel history to [China],” he tweeted on Sunday, using the virus’ scientific name.



“The detection of a small number of cases may indicate more widespread transmission in other countries; in short, we may only be seeing the tip of the iceberg.”



Perhaps now the WHO is beginning to realize WHO has been lying.



Western media propagandists are still living in the past and pretending none of this is happening

Slowly but surely, the world is awakening to the facts we reported many days ago: That the coronavirus has broken containment in China and is on track to become a global pandemic.







The lying mainstream media in the United States remains at least two weeks behind reality, still pretending the coronavirus is a conspiracy theory or that people who are concerned about the virus are “racist” bigots who don’t like Chinese people. (Yes, seriously, they have to turn everything into a pathetic display of virtue signaling.)



Meanwhile, credible claims of the number of infections in China currently put that number anywhere from 100,000 to 200,000 people, and one professor from Imperial College London believes that China is headed for a blowout peak of 50,000 new infections per day.



Those infections aren’t expected to peak in China until mid-March, according to several estimates. The spread outside of China will have a lag time of 1-2 months, perhaps longer.



In other words, what’s happening to China right now may happen in Singapore, Thailand, Japan or Hong Kong in the March / April time frame. From there, it’s only a matter of time before it’s also happening in India, Africa, Mexico, Western Europe, etc.



If China couldn’t contain it with the most heinous, draconian quarantine measures imaginable, consider the near-zero chance of a city like Los Angeles containing such a pandemic. America can’t even control its borders (thanks to the Democrats), so how is America going to stop a pandemic that’s carried by the movement of people?

Report: Wuhan Province Cremating Hundreds per Day While China Reports Dozens of Virus Deaths

A shocking report published Saturday local time by the Epoch Times revealed that crematoriums in China are struggling to keep up with the hundreds of bodies they are receiving, suggesting Beijing is undercounting the number of coronavirus deaths in the country.



The Epoch Times, a Chinese-American anti-communist newspaper, sent journalists to speak with the heads of several funeral homes and crematoriums in Hubei province – whose capital, Wuhan, is the epicenter of the current novel coronavirus outbreak. The newspaper found that adding up the total number of people cremated per day in several funeral homes yielded a significantly larger number than the official number of deaths tallied since the outbreak began in December.



The Chinese Communist Party alerted the world to the discovery of a new type of coronavirus on January 20, over a month after locals became aware of a disease spreading and 20 days after local officials shut down a wild meat market in Wuhan where the virus is believed to have originated.



According to the Epoch Times, the crematoria were handling “4-5 times the usual cremation volume” per day. Few of those cremated were officially confirmed as coronavirus cases.



“I received 127 corpses yesterday [February 3], and burned 116. Among them, 8 were confirmed [coronavirus cases] on the death certificate and 48 were suspected,” a funeral home director in Hubei using the pseudonym “You Hu” told the newspaper. “I am about to collapse, we are under great pressure now.”



The newspaper offered insight into a larger funeral home in Hankou, a Wuhan neighborhood, which it estimated had the capacity to burn 576 people per day. “You Hu” told the Epoch Times that the backlog of people waiting to be cremated was not due to lack of space in the burners, but lack of sufficient transportation and collapsing staff numbers, as few were sleeping or taking breaks. Due to transportation and staff limits, the Epoch Times estimated that the Hankou crematorium was burning 225 corpses a day.



With this math, the newspaper concludes that Hubei province incinerated 341 bodies on February 3; China reported 65 deaths nationwide due to coronavirus that day.



The article went on to state that Hubei province has eight municipal funeral homes. Similarly judging from their capacity for bodies and the amount of time the furnaces are running, the article adds another 135 patients a day to the tally from five of these. The other three, it concludes, burned 476 people a day. While less confident in these numbers since the journalists were unable to speak to their managers, these numbers reveal a rough estimate of nearly 1,000 people incinerated per day.



Of course, the article notes that there is no guarantee that all these people died after becoming infected with the novel coronavirus. It notes that, of the 127 remains “You Hu” received on February 3 (116 were cremated that day), eight were confirmed coronavirus patients and 48 were suspected carriers. The newspaper also identified another funeral home that took in 22 sets of remains and three were confirmed coronavirus cases.



These numbers, the report argues, do not align with the Communist Party policies issued on handling coronavirus remains.



“As per from the current policy of the Communist Party of China … the funeral home must give priority to the burning of novel coronavirus patients’ bodies; other bodies may not be burned on the same day due to funeral culture, rituals, and other reasons,” the article notes. “Based on this, it can be inferred that the 116 dead [at “You Hu”‘s crematorium] basically all died of novel coronavirus pneumonia, or at least suspected of having died of it.”



What’s more, a local ordinance in at least one Hubei county, Yangxin, required crematoria to immediately handle coronavirus victims and prioritize them over other deaths.



The Epoch Times report is not the first one to accuse the Chinese regime of secretly cremating large numbers of individuals suspected of carrying the novel coronavirus – or refusing to take patients in hospitals and confirm their disease. Last week, the Hong Kong-based website Initium Media published a report contending that the Communist Party is artificially suppressing the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak by incinerating people suspected of having died of it before their deaths can be properly documented.



The implication that China is also not properly documenting cause of death on people’s birth certificates is also not new. Shortly after China revealed the outbreak to the world on January 20, Radio Free Asia (RFA) highlighted the strange death of Xu Dapeng, the founder of the oldest environmentalist group in the country. Xu and his wife lived in Wuhan and both died of pneumonia in January. Neither they nor anyone who was exposed to them were tested for the novel coronavirus, and their cause of death was simply declared “pneumonia.”



At press time Friday, the Chinese government and the World Health Organization (WHO) have confirmed 31,527 cases of novel coronavirus. Of those, 638 people have died, all but two within China. The government also claimed another 1,568 people have fully recovered from the infection.



The WHO claimed on Friday that 82 percent of cases have been deemed “mild.”

Coronavirus is dominating the headlines due to the primal, inherent fear of contagion that unites humanity. In this case, our fears are warranted.



Recent coverage has been walking a fine line between simultaneously reporting the facts and seeking to calm the waters. The risk of coronavirus to the U.S. is low. You have a much greater chance of dying from the flu. And so on.



This is true at the moment. But we are clearly in the early stages of a global pandemic, and coronavirus is much nastier than the flu. Exactly how much nastier remains to be seen, but we are at the mercy of forces largely beyond our control now.



The current best estimates place the mortality of coronavirus between 1% and 3% with modern medical care. This only sounds low; in fact, it is a very high number. Seasonal influenza kills about 0.1% of patients with the virus, which translates to roughly 650,000 deaths around the world every year.



Coronavirus is more infectious than the flu, and possibly a lot more infectious. If the current numbers are to be believed, it is at least 10 times as lethal as the flu today, which puts it close to the virulence of the influenza strain that killed 50 million people in 1918. Despite medical advances, the world is far more crowded, and hence more vulnerable, than it was in 1918.

Coverage of the conditions in Wuhan has, at times, taken a faintly patronizing tone. Hospital footage of people lying in hallways and masked crowds waiting for days has been shown with the subtle though distinct implication that such scenes would not happen here.



This implication is wrong. This is exactly what would happen here, because the U.S. is not remotely prepared for a coronavirus pandemic. The reason for this is simple: there is hardly any excess capacity built into the U.S. health-care system.



American medicine is designed for profit, not for public health. Hospitals are kept as full as possible all of the time. Empty beds are expensive, and hospitals lose money on them. So there aren’t many empty beds.

In normal circumstances, this rationed market-driven approach works almost well enough. But any significant surge in seriously ill patients will quickly grind our already overloaded system to a halt, and cause secondary effects far beyond the impact of this particular virus.



On any given day, the emergency room where I work can have 40 or 50 patients waiting for many hours in the lobby to be seen, and often a greater number than that.



The emergency room itself is often filled with admitted patients waiting for beds to open in the hospital above us. In many cases, they wait in the ER for days.

When overcrowding like this occurs, which is common everywhere in the U.S., we have no place to see new patients, and try to examine them in the hall or even the lobby itself. Both efficiency and patient safety plummet as a result.



ICU beds are already at a premium, and are already precious things That’s business as usual.

My hospital — a large teaching hospital in a poor state with an underserved patient population — does the best it can with limited resources. Conditions here are similar to many other places in the U.S., and speak to national problems, not local ones.



Adding an epidemic of coronavirus to the mix would have dismal and predictable consequences identical to what we are seeing in Wuhan right now.


It would be impossible to put large numbers of patients in respiratory isolation. Given the highly infectious nature of this virus, it would also be difficult for physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to protect themselves from it over time.



Finally, it would be extremely challenging to care for all the other patients with life-threatening conditions who don’t have coronavirus. The quality of care for common illnesses and injuries would suffer in dangerous ways. In the meantime, everyone would be coughing on everyone else, and, to paraphrase one prominent expert, there are few better incubators for a viral illness than the lobby of an emergency room.



The only bright spot in this unfolding disaster is the probability that coronavirus is less lethal than feared. There are likely far more cases than have been identified, perhaps an order of magnitude more, and thus the actual mortality rate of coronavirus may be much lower than 1% to 3%. Let us all hope that this is true, because otherwise this is going to be a tragic, frightening and expensive public health catastrophe with a myriad of complex and unforeseen consequences that we have only begun to appreciate.

An Australian who returned an initial positive result for the coronavirus has been cleared - as the global death toll scales over 1000.



South Australia Health said the person recorded a 'weak positive' result and was cleared following further tests on Tuesday. They had no known link to the virus.



The first confirmed case of the virus in the state was recorded on February 1, after a Chinese couple in their 60s arrived in Adelaide from Wuhan.



There are 25 South Australians awaiting test results for novel coronavirus.



'Patients should continue to present to their GP if they are displaying any symptoms and have recently returned from mainland China, or have been in close contact with someone who is a confirmed case,' SA Health said.



'Importantly, patients should call ahead first so their GP can prepare for their visit.'



Anyone who has travelled to mainland China is encouraged to self-isolate at home for 14 days from the last date of exposure.
