THE 100 SOULS A DAY CHALLENGE
While we're waiting for that trumpet to sound and Jesus to come and get us, let's use our remaining time wisely and productively for the Lord!
The idea is to pray for the salvation of 100 different people you don't know each and every day until the rapture. It's easy, and not at all time-consuming; it takes only about 10 seconds to pray something like, "Jesus, bless that person, and if they don't know you as their Lord and Savior, please put the gospel before them in a way they can understand it." You're looking at a total of about 20 minutes out of your day (while you're doing something else anyway), and the rewards are out of this world! I know it doesn't seem like much, but James 5:16 tells us the prayers of a righteous person are powerful and effective, and thanks to Jesus we've been made the very righteousness of God! (2 Cor. 5:21)
Out on an errand? Pray for people you pass in stores or on the street. For the person manning the drive-thru at a fast food restaurant or bank. For utility people you see out working. For the person in the car in front of or alongside you...or the person who cuts you off! For the cashier who rings up your purchase, or your server at a restaurant. For the person in the ambulance that just passed you.
Scrolling through some posts in groups on FB? Pray for that person whose beloved pet just died. For the one who is having a birthday. For the person who created a meme that made you laugh. For someone who just rescued an animal. You can easily do 100 in this way alone!
If you're reading a newspaper (including online), pray for those whose stories touch your heart. For those in engagement and wedding announcements. For those injured in accidents.
Watching TV? Pray for the characters in your favorite shows. Reading a book? Pray for the author.
If you're passing a funeral home and see cars in the parking lot, pray for the loved ones of the person who died.
Going through a directory, looking for a service? Pray for veterinarians, doctors, dentists, plumbers, etc. by name.
Just think - you may be the only one to ever pray for some people! You don't have to keep count to make sure you've prayed for at least 100 each day; the beauty of this plan is that in no time at all you'll find yourself saying a prayer for others out of habit, and you'll most likely surpass 100 per day.
Of course, continue to pray for unsaved family and friends, for our military and veterans, etc., but they don't count towards the daily quota.
Come on people - let's do this! Let's redeem what little time we have left before the rapture!
Please share!
