AIR FRYER CORN ON THE COB
yield: 3
prep time: 5 MINUTES
cook time: 15 MINUTES
total time: 20 MINUTES
Air Fryer Corn on the Cob is a super simple side dish or snack. These buttery corn cobs cook in just 15 minutes in foil and the kernels are so tender and sweet. You'll never want to cook corn any other way again!
INGREDIENTS
3 Ears of Corn
3 tsp Butter
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the air fryer on 200C / 390F by either using the preheat setting or running your air fryer for 5 minutes on that temperature.
Shuck the corn and place each ear of corn in a piece of aluminium foil. Place a tsp of butter in the centre of each ear, then wrap tightly with the foil.
Place ears in the air fryer basket, then cook for 10 minutes. Flip the ears over and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until kernels are tender.
Remove the ears from the air fryer basket but keep covered in foil for at least 5 minutes before uncovering and serving.
NOTES
TIPS FOR AIR FRYING CORN
The corn is ready when the kernels are tender. Do a spot check on one of the pieces by peeling back to aluminium foil carefully and piercing the kernels with a fork. If it goes in easy, it's ready to go!
Keep the corn covered with the aluminium foil for 5 minutes after cooking - this helps keep the kernels nice and tender. The result reminds me of those buttery and soft corn on the cobs you get at a fair.
Feel free to make more or less. If making more, be sure not to overload your basket and adjust the cooking time if necessary.
I prefer cooking the corn in foil as I really like my kernels juicy and tender. If you are wanting a more roasted corn result simply pop a little oil on the corn and add it uncovered into the air fryer basket.
Don't have an air fryer? Cook these in the oven on 180C / 350F for 15 - 20 minutes.
