Pastor at Ryan event once said Romney is not a Christian Posted by CNN Political Reporter Peter Hamby
Washington (CNN) – The pastor who delivered a passionate invocation at Paul Ryan's rally in Rochester, Michigan on Monday evening told CNN earlier this year that the man at the top of the Republican ticket, Mitt Romney, is not a Christian.
Romney's running mate was making his first campaign appearance in Michigan since August.

The pastor, Kent Clark, supported Rick Santorum over Romney during the competitive Republican primary in Michigan this year.
Clark runs the Grace Centers of Hope, a faith-based homeless outreach facility in Pontiac, and is a well-known figure in Michigan Christian circles.
Clark spoke to CNN about Romney’s Mormon faith after a February rally for Santorum in Lansing.
Asked if he believes Romney is a Christian, Clark answered: “No.”
"Those if us who are Christians believe very strongly that God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ and we base all our values around that," Clark said. "And we believe that real change is a spiritual change from the inside out."
At the time, Santorum campaign officials distanced themselves from Clark’s comments.
