Excellent Christian movie (and one that requires some tissues)
The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry
From Netflix:
The lives of three 12-year-old buddies -- sharing a carefree existence in the summer of 1970 -- suddenly change when one of them, Dustin (Jansen Panettiere), makes an unexpected friend after cutting the lawn of 75-year-old Jonathan Sperry (Gavin MacLeod). As Jonathan shares lessons in faith with Dustin and his pals (Frankie Ryan Manriquez and Allen Isaacson), a spiritual transformation occurs in this Christian drama helmed by Rich Christiano.
Wonderful movie!
I give it 4 stars!

I saw that one advertised on, I think, John Hagee's site, but you have to buy the DVD. I have Hulu; I'll have to see if it's there.

Wow I have a library full and any of these you can purchased on e-bay or any Christian book and video store. I promise not one of these will disappoint you
Sophie Scholl~~~Synopsis. (A True story. In 1943 as Hitler continues to wage war as a group of college students mount an underground resistance in Munich. One of it's few female members is captured. This is a story of tremendous courage and loyalty. Spoiler alert I cried.
Dietrich Bonhoeffer~~~Synopsis (What can I say? If you have not read the book watch the true story of a man who stood for his faith in spite of the ones that came against him. Spoiler alert I cried .)
The Couple ~~~~Synopsis (Another true story. "His sacrifice was their salvation". This one will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Based on the rue story of a Hungarian Jew who gave it all to save a few. Not giving a spoiler alert because it will give the movie away)
Expelled~~~Synopsis ( If you haven't seen this blunt but true documentary about our school system it is an eye opener).
The Courageous Heart Of Irene Sendler~~~Synopsis ( Another true story from world war 2 where a tiny woman takes on the task of saving children from the ghetto inspite of persecution. This is a must see. She only died recently and when you see this movie or read the book you will be blown away.)
Life Is Beautiful~~~Synopsis (One of my all time favourites also set in world war 2 in Italy. A couple caught up in the world wind of love have a child. She is catholic he is Jewish. Although the main character speaks broken English I have never cried, laughed or bit as many nails off as I did with this movie.)
Bella~~~Synopsis ( A Spanish/American soccer star about to break out into stardom suddenly has a car accident. He then has a nervous break down. This is one of those movies which you can truly call a gem. Redemption and love at the core you will find yourself smiling the rest of the day)
Will add more later....

The secrets of Jonathan Sperry is AWESOME. It used to be available on netflix instant play. You might check it out. I loved it, and use the chocolate cake example with people frequently now.
