Beheadings are coming to the Russian Ministry of Defense - Prigozhin for Shoigu, A/GETHA and Lapin: Send the b**ards barefoot with rifles to the front!
"We gave a Russian city to the enemy" for the first time since WWII! 02/10/2022 - 18:38 in Main Topics , Russia 0 Putin: The West is inciting "color revolutions" in the countries of the former USSR - He wants a "blood bath" The Russian Ministry of Defense is on the brink of internal liquidation with PMC Wagner head Prigozhin siding with Kadyrov, calling for "all these scumbags to be sent barefoot with machine guns straight to the front"! This is an obvious reference to Russia's military leadership. Undoubtedly, a circle has been created consisting of "hawks" who demand purges at the top of the Ministry of Defense and beyond. Yevgeny Primakov, head of a government agency that manages relations with Russians abroad, wrote that "we gave a Russian city to the enemy" for the first time since World War II. What WarNews247 wrote yesterday. The Kremlin's military leadership, including Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, a close ally of Putin, has come under increasing criticism in recent months from "Hawks" inside and outside the Kremlin, who see them as corrupt bureaucrats who fail as a military man. The town of Liman in the Donetsk region is part of the annexed region that Putin described in a speech on Friday as "Novorossiya", or New Russia, describing it as part of the country's historic heartland. The fact that Russian troops withdrew just a day later shocked Russians who interpreted the withdrawal as a sign that their government's big and aggressive rhetoric did not match reality. As news of an impending disaster at Lyman circulated on social media, Yegor Kholmogorov wrote on Telegram that " any retreat will look like a bad omen against the backdrop of yesterday's events in Moscow." But it was the public criticism from Kadyrov and Prigozhin – both of whom have become influential figures in Russia's war effort and operate independently of the Defense Ministry – that mattered most. US officials are already preparing scenarios if Putin decides to use a tactical nuclear weapon, as Kadyrov has suggested, to compensate for recent setbacks by Russian troops in Ukraine – and have sternly warned the Russian leader of the disastrous consequences of such a move. In his post on Saturday, Kadyrov became one of the first Russian public officials to openly call for the use of nuclear weapons against Ukraine. "I don't know what the Russian Defense Ministry is reporting to the leader ," Kadyrov wrote. "But in my personal opinion, more drastic measures should be taken, up to the declaration of martial law in the border areas and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons." What Yevgeny Prigozhin (Vagner) advocates Comment of Yevgeny Prigozhin, head of Wagner PMC on Ramzan Kadyrov's statement: "Ramzan Kadyrov's manner of expression, of course, is not my style at all. But I can say: "Ramzan Kadyrov, tough man all these bastards must go forward barefoot and with rifles." It should be noted that there are at least 3 people in the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense who, due to their positions, bear full personal responsibility for the events in the Kharkiv region and around Krasny Lyman. These are General Lapin, Chief of the General Staff of the Army General Valery Gerasimov, Defense Minister General Sergei Shoigu. What do Russian sources say? All conclusions of the Chechen leader's emotional intervention are based on incorrect information: It is wrong to blame the retreat in the Kharkov region on General Lapin, who did not lead the defense of this sector. He was deployed there with a small part of his troops as a reinforcement in the last effort to correct the more difficult situation at the front. Alexander Lapin never stayed behind. Everyone who has met him can attest to that. In Syria or Ukraine, where almost all the fighters of the "O" group know this. He is perhaps the only group commander who has been in the battle formations of his troops since the beginning of the operation. Therefore, the statement that Lapin is sitting in Lugansk is not true. Of course, it is necessary to look for the culprits. However, it is a gross mistake to blame everything on the commander, whose area of responsibility was a completely different sector of the front. Ultimately, this will not allow correct conclusions to be drawn. Russia: Green light from the Constitutional Court Russia's Constitutional Court on Sunday (10/2/2022) ruled legal the annexation treaties signed on Friday (9/30) in the Kremlin by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of Ukraine's separatist, occupied regions. The court recognizes the treaties signed by Moscow with the four Ukrainian regions – Kherson, Zaporozhye, Donetsk and Lugansk – as "in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation". The court recognizes the treaties signed by Moscow with the four Ukrainian regions – Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Lugansk as “in accordance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation” Russia: In the Duma the laws for the annexation of the four Ukrainian regions The Russian Duma (Lower House) will consider draft constitutional laws on the accession of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR) and the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions to Russia, as well as on the ratification of corresponding international treaties in a plenary session on Monday, October 3, 2022, said the president of the House, Vyacheslav Volodin. "On Monday we will consider amendments to constitutional law, as well as ratification of international agreements that have been announced and concern the development of a legal framework so that every citizen living in the territory of four new entities feels protected, being within the common frameworks of the law both in terms of of social protection, the financial system as well as the economic space ," Volodin said, according to Tass. According to him, the unification of Crimea and Sevastopol required " the approval of about 70 bills". link

NATO 'warns Putin may test a NUKE on Ukraine's borders' as Kremlin 'insiders' claim he 'is preparing to make decisions about launching a tactical nuclear strike while hidden in a bunker outside Moscow'
Putin reportedly has list of 'necessary' Russian officials and family to save Former President Dmitri Medvedev and lovechild Luiza Rozova fail to make cut The dictator will be 70 on Friday amid ongoing rumours about his poor health By WILL STEWART FOR MAIL ONLINE PUBLISHED: 04:56 EDT, 4 October 2022 | UPDATED: 12:43 EDT, 4 October 2022 Vladimir Putin may have decided to detonate a nuke on Ukraine's borders, NATO is believed to have warned its members, in an escalation designed to terrify the West. The warning comes as Putin was reportedly 'preparing to make key decisions about launching a tactical nuclear strike from a bunker' a long way outside Moscow. The Kremlin has been attempting to signal to its NATO adversaries that it was willing to brandish its one remaining trump card lately even as the Russian army suffers defeat after defeat at the hands of the Ukrainian army. A senior defence source, however, said that a more likely demonstration of Putin’s readiness to use nuclear weapons could come in the Black Sea, The Times reports. Such a move would shatter the longstanding taboo on deploying nuclear weapons and set the world on its deadliest course since the Cuban missile crisis of 1963. Putin - who will be 70 on Friday - has warned his closest family including gymnast partner Alina Kabaeva, 40, of the possibility of rapid evacuation, it is alleged. Full story at the link

Kyiv gives out potassium iodine pills to evacuation centres in preparation for nuclear attack on Ukraine's capital
Potassium iodine pills can help block the absorption of harmful radiation Pills will be distributed to residents in areas contaminated by nuclear radiation Preparation comes amid fears of an attack by Russia amid Putin's failing invasion Ukraine has forced humiliating retreats by Putin's forces in multiple regions By CHRIS JEWERS FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 11:48 EDT, 4 October 2022 | UPDATED: 20:56 EDT, 4 October 2022 The city of Kyiv has said it is handing out potassium iodine pills to evacuation centres in preparation for a possible Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine's capital. Potassium iodine pills can help block the absorption of harmful radiation by the thyroid gland if taken just before or immediately after exposure to nuclear radiation. The pills will be distributed to residents in areas contaminated by nuclear radiation if there is a need to evacuate, the city council said in a statement - amid Russian President Vladimir Putin's disastrous on-going invasion of Ukraine. The city of Kyiv has said it is handing out potassium iodine pills (pictured, file photo) to evacuation centres in preparation for a possible Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine's capital Putin has said that he would 'use all the means at our disposal' to win the war while his ground forces humiliatingly retreat from a Ukrainian counterattack. Russian troops have suffered heavy losses, and are being pushed back in several regions. Fears are growing that Putin will resort to using a devastating nuclear strike to beat Ukraine into submission as his ground troops continue to suffer defeats. News of Kyiv's preparations came after the Times newspaper reported Monday that NATO had warned members Putin was set to demonstrate his willingness to use nuclear weapons by carrying out a nuclear test on Ukraine's border. The NATO warning claimed the K-329 Belgorod submarine, which only entered active service with Russia's navy in July 2022, may be headed to the Kara Sea to test the feared Poseidon underwater nuclear drone. Poseidon is said to be capable of travelling huge distances underwater before detonating with enough force to trigger a 1,600ft nuclear tsunami designed to drown and irradiate coastal cities. The Kara sea is located off the eastern coast of Novaya Zemlya - a large Russian controlled island in the Arctic circle which has long been used as a nuclear weapons testing facility. It was the site of the largest nuclear explosion ever recorded in 1961 when the USSR detonated the Tsar Bomba - a nuclear device ten times more powerful than all of the ordnance exploded in World War II which was downgraded because its original design was thought too dangerous to test. Russian President Vladimir Putin (seen in Moscow on Tuesday) has said that he would 'use all the means at our disposal' to win the war while his ground forces humiliatingly retreat from a Ukrainian counterattack The London-based newspaper also said Russia had moved a train thought to be linked to a unit of the defence ministry that was responsible for nuclear munitions. When asked about the Times report, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia did not want to take part in what he cast as Western exercises in 'nuclear rhetoric'. 'The Western media, Western politicians and heads of state are engaging in a lot of exercises in nuclear rhetoric right now,' Peskov said. 'We do not want to take part in this.' Italian daily La Repubblica reported on Sunday that NATO had sent its members an intelligence report on the movements of the Belgorod nuclear submarine. 'Now it is back to dive in the Arctic seas and it is feared that its mission is to test for the first time the super-torpedo Poseidon, often referred to as 'the weapon of the Apocalypse',' La Repubblica said. When contacted by Reuters, the Italian defence minister declined to comment on the matter. NATO did not respond immediately to a request for comment. Full story at the link

Power-Mad Brinksmanship: Zelensky Demands “Pre-Emptive Strikes” on Russia
By Richard Abelson Published October 7, 2022 at 9:15am Coming on the same day feeble-brained puppet Joe Biden warned of “nuclear Armageddon,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for “pre-emptive strikes” on Russia “so that they’ll know what will happen to them if they use nukes”. Speaking via video link to the Australian Lowy Institute, Zelensky made his seemingly insane comments in response to a question from Lowy executive director Michael Fullilove. “Mr. President, in your remarks you mentioned nuclear blackmail,” Fullilove said. “Mr. Putin told us the other day that he’s not bluffing. So may I ask you, do you believe that the likelihood of the use of Russian nuclear weapons against Ukraine has risen, and what more do you want NATO to do to deter Russia from using nuclear weapons?” Zelensky replied that NATO should “eliminate the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons”. “But what is important, I once again appeal to the international community, as I did before February 24 – we need pre-emptive strikes, so that they’ll know what will happen to them if they use nukes, and not the other way around,” he said. “Don’t wait for Russia’s nuclear strikes, and then say, ‘Oh, since you did this, take that from us!’ Reconsider the way you apply pressure. This is what NATO should do – reconsider the order in which it applies pressure [on Russia].” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called Zelensky’s comments “a call to start a world war” which would lead to “unforeseeable disastrous consequences”. Zelensky’s office had to backtrack and claimed he was not calling for a “pre-emptive” nuclear strike on Russia. Tucker Carlson had already noted in September how the Ukrainian government seemed to be calling for a NATO nuclear first strike on Russia. Mainstream media continue to portray Russia as responsible for the ongoing insane nuclear escalation. link

Major Explosion Destroys Europe’s Longest Bridge Connecting Crimea and Russia (VIDEO)
By Jim Hoft Published October 8, 2022 at 4:56am According to Russian news agency Tass, an explosion occurred in early Saturday morning on one of Putin’s prestige projects and Europe’s longest bridge, which connects Russia and Crimea. “An object believed to be a fuel storage tank has caught fire on the Crimean Bridge, but the viaduct’s navigable arches sustained no damage, an aide to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, said on Saturday,” according to the news outlet. “According to preliminary information, a fuel storage tank is on fire… Navigable arches were not damaged. It is too early to speak about causes and consequences. Work to extinguish the blaze is underway,” Kryuchkov wrote in his Telegram channel. Crimean Bridge, also known as Kerch Strait Bridge or Kerch Bridge, is a pair of parallel bridges, one road, one rail, spanning the Kerch Strait between the Taman Peninsula of Krasnodar Krai in Russia and the Kerch Peninsula of Crimea in Ukraine. After annexing Crimea at the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War, Russia built the bridge. It is the longest bridge ever constructed in Russia, at 19 kilometers (12 miles), and the longest bridge in all of Europe. Besides transportation, Russia’s motivation for building the bridge was to legitimize its territorial claims in Crimea. The Guardian reported: Images from the bridge showed a fiercely burning fire engulfing at least two railway carriages from a train on the bridge, accompanied by a vast column of black smoke, and one half of the parallel road bridge collapsed into the Kerch Strait. The explosion, which witnesses said could be heard kilometres away, took place before 6am on Saturday while a train was crossing the bridge. It was not immediately clear what caused it, however Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, appeared to suggest Kyiv’s responsibility, tweeting: “Crimea, the bridge, the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything belonging to the Russian occupation must be expelled.” Damage to the road section of the bridge showed the carriageway appeared to have been cleanly severed with no obvious sign of a missile strike in the first images to emerge, leading some to suggest the attack on the bridge might have been a spectacular act of of sabotage. According to Telegraph, Russia’s investigative committee said it had “initiated a criminal case in connection with the incident on the Crimean bridge,” adding that “a truck was blown up.” “Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee says a truck bomb caused seven railway cars carrying fuel to catch fire, resulting in a “partial collapse of two sections of the bridge.” The committee didn’t immediately apportion blame,” the outlet reported. U.N.: Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant Loses External Power, Relying on Emergency Generators
AP8 Oct 2022 2:07 BERLIN (AP) — Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the biggest in Europe, has lost its last remaining external power source as a result of renewed shelling and is now relying on emergency diesel generators, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said Saturday. The International Atomic Energy Agency said the plant’s link to a 750-kilovolt line was cut at around 1 a.m. Saturday. It cited official information from Ukraine as well as reports from IAEA experts at the site, which is held by Russian forces. All six reactors at the plant are shut down but they still require electricity for cooling and other safety functions. Plant engineers have begun work to repair the damaged power line and the plant’s generators — not all of which are currently being used — each have sufficient fuel for at least 10 days, the IAEA said. “The resumption of shelling, hitting the plant’s sole source of external power, is tremendously irresponsible,” IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi said. Grossi visited Kyiv on Thursday. He said he will soon travel to Russia, then make another trip to Ukraine, to further his effort to set up a “nuclear safety and security protection zone” around the plant, which he has advocated for weeks. “This is an absolute and urgent imperative,” he said. The IAEA didn’t apportion blame for the shelling. Zaporizhzhia is one of four regions in Ukraine that Russian President Vladimir Putin has annexed in violation of international laws. While the nuclear plant has been under Russian control for months, the city of the same name remains under Ukrainian control. Putin signed a decree Wednesday declaring that Russia was taking over the plant. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry called it a criminal act and said it considered Putin’s decree “null and void.” Ukraine’s state nuclear operator, Energoatom, said it would continue to operate the plant. link

TRANSLATED FROM RUSSIAN Ukraine crossed the Rubicon: Frame by frame the moment of the explosion on the bridge of Kerch - Frantic celebrations in Kyiv (video)
Ukraine: "The bridge was just the beginning" 08/10/2022 - 11:32 in Main Topics , Russia A vehicle rigged with explosives caused the explosion and fire on the bridge connecting the Crimean peninsula with Russia's transport and transportation network. This was announced by the Russian anti-terrorist commission, according to the country's news agencies, adding that the part of the bridge used by cars has been damaged. "At 06:07 (local time and Greek time) on the road section of the Crimean bridge (…) an explosion of a vehicle rigged with explosives occurred, causing a fire in seven carriages of a train heading to Crimea ," the committee said . Earlier, the Russian authorities spoke of a fire on this huge bridge, in the Strait of Kerch, which caused traffic to stop. "The fuel tank of a train caught fire, " the Crimean Railway Agency said. The chairman of the State Council of the "Republic of Crimea", Vladimir Konstantinov, blamed Ukraine for the explosion. “Ukrainian vandals somehow managed to get their bloody hands on the Crimean bridge. And now they have something to brag about, when in 23 years of their economic activity they have not managed to build anything, in the interests of Crimea. But they failed to destroy the Russian bridge." "Such is the whole essence of the Kiev regime and the Ukrainian state. Of course, the causes of the accident will be investigated and the damage will be repaired quickly," he added. For his part, Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the head of the Crimean government, said that according to the first data there were no victims. Moscow's response to this blow will be interesting. Let's remember that the former Russian president N. Medvedev had declared in July that if the bridge in Crimea is hit, this will mean the start of a nuclear war. "If the Crimean bridge is hit by the Ukrainian forces then the day of judgment will come for all of them," he said speaking at an event for veterans of the Russian Army, adding: "If any other state, such as Ukraine and NATO member states, believes that Crimea is not Russian, then that state is a systemic threat to us." The video has been released – The moment of the explosion The video of the very powerful explosion on the bridge in the Kerch Strait, which connects Russia with the Crimean peninsula, has been released. It was captured by a security camera and shows what happened at 6:02 when there are cars on the road section of the bridge. Traffic flows normally, until at some point an explosion occurs in a trapped truck. In the footage, in addition to the truck, from which the explosion appears to have originated, another car also passes by. It seems that there is another truck and at least one car in the footage. "The Crimean bridge was the beginning," says Zelensky's advisor Moments after the explosion on the Crimean bridge, an adviser to Ukrainian President Zelensky said it was "the beginning". In a first reaction from Kyiv, the advisor to Ukrainian President Zelensky, Mykhailo Podoliak, wrote on twitter: "Crimea, the bridge, the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, Russia must be expelled from all the territories it has occupied." Later, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense wrote: “The cruiser Moskva and the Kerch bridge – two infamous symbols of Russian power in the Ukrainian Crimea – collapsed. What's next, Russians?' "Happy Birthday Mr. President" Oleksiy Danilov, Ukraine's top Security and Defense official, wrote: "Good morning Ukraine!", in a post accompanied by a video of the fire on the bridge next to Marilyn Monroe singing "happy birthday Mr President", in a clear reference to Vladimir Putin's birthday yesterday. Also, a Ukrainian official, without confirming - but not denying - that Kiev forces were behind the explosion, told the New York Times: " Putin must be happy. Not everyone gets such an expensive gift on their birthday." Putin ordered an official investigation Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered an official investigation into the blast, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Earlier, the Russian anti-terrorist commission spoke of blowing up a vehicle rigged with explosives.. The bridge was only the beginning, Volodymyr Zelensky's advisor Mikhail Podoliak wrote on Twitter, who also published a photo with part of the road axis of the bridge submerged. Already, after the release of the video, many in Russia are directly talking about a terrorist act that could be attributed to Ukraine. link

Russia is beginning to 'prepare their society' to launch a nuclear attack, Zelenskyy says, but adds Putin is 'not ready to do it'
cdavis@insider.com (Charles R. Davis) - Yesterday 2:20 PM Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia was preparing its people for nuclear war. Speaking with the BBC, Zelenskyy said such preparations were "very dangerous." But he added that he did not think Russia had made a decision on whether to use nuclear weapons. The Russian government is laying the groundwork to use nuclear arms, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Friday, adding that he did not think a decision on whether to use such weapons had been made but that even talking about it was "dangerous." Speaking with the BBC, Zelenskyy said Russia had begun "to prepare their society" for a nuclear strike in Ukraine, where Russian forces have been retreating in the wake of a Ukrainian counteroffensive in which the country recaptured territory that was annexed by Moscow a week ago. Zelenskyy added of the prospect of nuclear warfare: "That's very dangerous." Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly threatened to use nuclear weapons, recently saying the US had set a "precedent" by dropping atomic bombs in World War II. While their use is still deemed exceedingly unlikely by analysts, Western officials are taking the threats seriously and monitoring Russia for any signs it may be preparing to use a smaller, tactical nuclear weapon on the battlefield — a possibility that one expert told Insider was "extraordinarily" concerning. Meet the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska — here's what to know about the country's sixth First Lady 1 of 7 Photos in Gallery©Ukrainian Presidential Press Office/AP Meet the first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska — here's what to know about the country's 6th first lady Olena Zelenska became first lady of Ukraine on May 20, 2019. Born Olena Kiyashko, she was a writer for a series that starred her husband, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenska received international attention following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Olena Zelenska, 44, is the sixth first lady of Ukraine — an honorary title she assumed May 20, 2019, when her husband, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, was inaugurated as president. Known to keep a low profile, Zelenska was further propelled into the international spotlight shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. For the past six months, much of her role has been centered on seeking humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian people and maintaining diplomacy with Western countries. She was also the subject of a controversial cover photo and profile in the July 2022 issue of Vogue, launching her further into the public eye. Here's what you need to know about the first lady of Ukraine. US President Joe Biden has likewise said he believes Putin is "not joking" about such threats. While noting he shared such concerns, Zelenskyy said there was no reason to be fatalistic about a Russian threat designed to make Western nations think twice about supporting Ukraine. "They are not ready to do it, to use it. But they begin to communicate. They don't know whether they'll use or not use it," he said, adding: "I think it's dangerous to even speak about it." Zelenskyy said Russia was already threatening the world with its actions at Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which it occupied in early March. The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency last month said the situation at the plant was "untenable," adding: "We are one step away from a nuclear accident." The standoff has raised fears of another Chernobyl disaster, the 1986 nuclear-reactor meltdown that spread dangerous radiation across Europe. The Ukrainian president urged his allies to impose additional sanctions on Russia to discourage any sort of nuclear duress. "The world can stop urgently the actions of Russian occupiers," he said. "The world can implement the sanction package in such cases and do everything to make them leave the nuclear power plant." link

Ukraine Pokes the Bear – Celebrates Massive Bombing of Russia’s Kerch Bridge to Crimea with New Stamp of Bridge Explosion

Putin Decries "Act Of Terrorism" On Crimean Bridge, Identifies Ukraine Secret Services As Culprits
BY TYLER DURDEN SUNDAY, OCT 09, 2022 - 02:10 PM Update (Sunday): Following meetings with his top security officials, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday that Ukrainian intelligence is behind the deadly attack on the Crimean Bridge. According to the head of the national Investigative Committee, Aleksandr Bastrykin, the attack was organized by the Ukrainian security services, which were “aided” by some Russian and foreign nationals. "The authors, perpetrators and sponsors are the Ukrainian secret services," Putin said during a meeting with the head of the investigation committee, according to a video shared by the Kremlin. "There is no doubt this is a terrorist act aimed at destroying critical Russian civilian infrastructure," Putin added. The Investigative Committee head also said that the Federal Security Service (FSB) had identified the suspects that were involved in the attack. “This incident will likely touch President Putin closely; it came hours after his 70th birthday, he personally sponsored and opened the bridge, and its construction contractor was his childhood friend,” the UK Defence Ministry said in a daily update on Twitter. Notably the bridge is already partly operational: “The explosion will not permanently disrupt critical Russian lines to Crimea, but will likely increase friction in Russian logistics,” said analysts at the Institute for the Study of War, a US-based think tank. Kiev hasn't officially taken responsibility for the Kerch incident, although it commemorated the explosion within hours with a new postage stamp and Zelensky’s aide, Mikhail Podoliak, posted on Twitter saying the explosion is “the beginning.” “Crimea, the bridge, the beginning. Everything illegal must be destroyed, everything stolen must be returned to Ukraine, everything occupied by Russia must be expelled,” he wrote in English. How long before western media begin to gaslight the world into somehow blaming Putin for blowing up his own major supply chain? * * * Update(1435ET): Russia's state Investigative Committee has put out a statement saying at least three civilians died as a result of the attack on the Crimean Bridge, which was likely a fertilizer-laden truck bombing. "According to preliminary data, three people died as a result of the incident. They were presumably passengers of a car, which was near the exploded track. As of now, the bodies of a man and a women have been recovered from the water, their identities are being established," the committee said. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova at the same time blasted what she called the "criminal logic" of some NATO officials who are positively cheering the attack. Ukrainian government sources have owned up to the attack, but this claim of responsibility stopped short of being made publicly or officially: "A Ukrainian government official told The Washington Post that the country’s special services were behind the attack, though Kyiv stopped short of saying it was responsible — even as top officials taunted Moscow." As for the taunting and trolling, the official Twitter account for the government of Ukraine also tweeted out: A fire which had raged for hours at the scene, particularly freight which had been on the rail part of the bridge that had burned out of control, now appears to be out - allowing Russian investigators to view the full extent of the damage. A large section of bridge which has been vital to Russian military supply lines has been totally collapsed, with entire sections of roadway having fallen into the water below. Continued at link

Russian revenge: Kalibr cruise missile "breaks in two" Kiev's glass bridge (video)
Frame by frame the Russian beat 10/10/2022 - 19:59 in Ukraine Russia has been pounding Kyiv since early morning, with the Air Force and Navy targeting energy facilities and military/civilian infrastructure. Among the targets hit on Monday morning, as part of the "retaliation" for the destruction of the bridge connecting Crimea with Russia, is the glass footbridge in the center of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. Videos circulating on the Internet show the "hit" on the glass bridge. In particular, a rocket hit very close to the spot where pedestrians were at that time. At least 10 people were killed and dozens injured in the barrage of rocket attacks that Kyiv received for the first time since last June. Watch the video: link

Missile barrage unleashed on Ukraine is merely the 'first episode' of Putin's revenge, Moscow vows as Poland carries out bomb shelter checks following rocket blitz and Belarus announces 'joint military force' with Russia
Russian missiles unleashed across Ukraine is merely 'first episode', Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev warned today Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko said Russian units will combine with his own and deploy to border regions, raising fears he is laying groundwork to get involved in the war Came as Poland said it is inspecting bomb shelters, though denied it was in direct response to Russia's attack Putin ordered attack in retaliation for strike on Crimean Bridge at the weekend, which he blamed on Ukraine By CHRIS PLEASANCE and DAN SALES FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 02:01 EDT, 10 October 2022 | UPDATED: 14:01 EDT, 10 October 2022 A huge missile barrage unleashed on Ukraine today is merely the 'first episode' of Russia's revenge for a blast which crippled the Crimea Bridge and 'there will be others', one of Putin's staunchest allies has warned today. Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian president himself, said Ukraine poses 'a constant, direct and clear' threat and that the Kremlin should aim to 'completely dismantle the political regime of Ukraine' which he described as 'Nazi'. He spoke shortly after Putin let rip with 83 missiles at what he claimed were military, energy and communications networks in Ukraine. Kyiv said the missiles actually hit power plants and busy civilian areas in major cities, killing at least 11 and wounding scores more. It was Russia's largest single barrage since the opening day of the war. As Medvedev issued his threat, Belarus dictator Alexander Lukashenko appeared to be laying the groundwork to join the war. He announced Russian units would combine with his own and deploy to the Ukraine border, accusing Kyiv of planning to attack with help from allies Poland and Lithuania. Belarus has acted as a staging ground for Russian attacks on Ukraine, but has not yet been involved in the fighting. Polish interior minister Maciej Wasik said his government is now inspecting its bomb shelters to make sure they are fit for purpose, though insisted the move is 'routine' and not in response to Russia's bombardment. Warsaw is preparing for the 'darkest scenarios' even if there is only a 'small probability that they will occur', he added. Continued at the link

Is Belarus set to join Ukrainian conflict? Lukashenko announces he will deploy 'joint military task force' with Russia on western border – sparking fury in Europe
Remarks from Lukashenko indicate a possible further escalation in the conflict He said, without evidence, Ukraine was drawing up plans to attack Belarus 'Their owners are pushing them to start a war against Belarus,' he claimed Remarks came as Russia hit Ukraine with at least 83 missiles as revenge for an explosion which crippled the Crimea Bridge on Saturday By CHRIS JEWERS FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 08:37 EDT, 10 October 2022 | UPDATED: 13:55 EDT, 10 October 2022 Fears were raised today that Belarus could join the conflict in Ukraine after President Alexander Lukashenko announced he will deploy a 'joint military task force' with Russia on the country's western border. The dictator said this was in response to what he said was a clear threat to Belarus from Kyiv and its backers in the West, claiming without evidence that that Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine were training Belarusian 'radicals' for terror attacks, after announcing plans to deploy joint troops with Moscow. Lukashenko's announcement sparked fury in Europe, with the European Commission urging Belarus to refrain from any involvement in Russia's 'brutal illegitimate undertaking' that violated the United Nations Charter and international law. Specifically, it told Minsk immediately to stop allowing the territory of Belarus to serve as a launch pad for very recent missile strikes and drone attacks against Ukrainian civilians. The remarks from Lukashenko, who has held power in Belarus since 1994, indicate a potential further escalation of the war in Ukraine, possibly with a combined Russian-Belarus joint force in the north of Ukraine. 'Strikes on the territory of Belarus are not just being discussed in Ukraine today, but are also being planned,' Lukashenko said at a meeting on security, without providing evidence for the assertion. 'Their owners are pushing them to start a war against Belarus to drag us there.' 'We have been preparing for this for decades. If necessary, we will respond,' Lukashenko said, adding that he had spoken to Putin about the situation while at a meeting in St Petersburg. Missile barrage unleashed on Ukraine is merely the 'first... 'You Russkies don't get it. Your terrorist strikes just make... Moment BBC journalist ducks for cover as Russian missiles... Lukashenko said he had agreed with Putin to deploy a regional military group, and had started pulling forces together two days ago, apparently after an attack on Russia's road and rail bridge to Crimea early on Saturday. He said that a warning was delivered to Belarus through unofficial channels that Ukraine planned 'Crimean Bridge 2', though he did not give details. 'My answer was simple: 'Tell the president of Ukraine and the other lunatics: if they touch one metre of our territory then the Crimean Bridge will seem to them like a walk in the park'.' He also claimed Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine were training Belarusian 'radicals' to carry out terror attacks in his country. 'The training in Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine of Belarusian radical militants for them to carry out sabotage, terrorist attacks and to organise a military mutiny in the country is becoming a direct threat,' Lukashenko said. Belarus's army has about 60,000 people. Earlier this year, Belarus deployed 6 battalion-tactical groups, totalling several thousand people, to the border areas. On Sunday, the head of Belarus's border guards accused Ukraine of provocations at the border. Russian forces used Belarus as a staging post for their Feb. 24 invasion of Ukraine, sending troops and equipment into northern Ukraine from bases in Belarus. Peter Stano, a spokesperson for the European Union's executive arm, urged Belarus to refrain from getting involved in the on-going war. 'Any further actions and in particular the Belarusian military's direct involvement into this war, against the will of the vast majority of the Belarusian people, will be met by new and strong restrictive measures,' Stano said. The news came days after the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to human rights organisations in Ukraine and Russia, and to an activist jailed in Russia's ally Belarus - angering Minsk. It also came as Russian president Vladimir Putin blitzed Ukraine with missile strikes this morning, hitting the capital Kyiv and killing civilians as revenge for an explosion which crippled the Crimea Bridge on Saturday. At least eight people were killed and 24 were injured in just one of the Kyiv strikes, while police said 10 were killed across the country. The number is expected to rise. Ukraine's military said 83 rockets were fired at Ukraine - half of which were shot down while the other half of which slammed into cities across the country. Continued at the link

The Iranian-made drone being used to carry out deadly strikes in Ukraine: Russia unleashes Shahed-136 'kamikaze' weapons which overwhelm ground targets and can evade air defences
Kyiv said 83 missiles or drones were launched against the country on Monday Officials accused Russia of using Iranian-made Shahed-136 'suicide' drones The drones are 'loitering munitions' meaning they hover above targets for hours Ukrainian soldiers have said while the drones can devastate targets, they are vulnerable to small arms fire, and have coined the drone the 'flying lawnmower' By CHRIS JEWERS FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 11:26 EDT, 10 October 2022 | UPDATED: 16:33 EDT, 10 October 2022 Ukraine on Monday accused Moscow of using Iranian-made drones as part of multiple deadly strikes that Russian forces launched across Ukraine. Kyiv said 83 missiles or drones were launched against the country on Monday morning, striking the capital and several other cities, killing civilians in the process. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian forces used both missiles and Iranian-built drones - believed to have been sent from Belarus - to strike his country. Ukraine on Monday accused Moscow of using Iranian-made Shahed-136 'suicide' drones as part of multiple deadly strikes on Ukraine on Monday. Pictured: A Shahed-136, used by Russian forces against Ukraine, is seen in a sky over Odesa, Ukraine on September 23 Ukraine has accused Russia of using Iranian-made Shahed-136 UAVs - also known as suicide drones - against military and civilian targets. Tehran has denied selling the drones to Russia, but there is mounting evidence that Moscow is deploying the weapon. Here are some facts and figures about the deadly drone: Weapon type: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) In service since: 2021 Made in: Iran Maker: HESA (Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation) Weight: 440lbs Warhead: 80lbs Length: 12 feet Wingspan: 8 feet Range: 600 miles Flight height: 13,000ft max. Speed: 120 miles per hour Used in: Yemen, Iraq and Ukraine Iranian-made Shahed-136 UAVs Iranian-made Shahed-136 UAVs 'They want panic and chaos. They want to destroy our energy system,' Zelensky said in a video address on Telegram. He added: Russia is 'trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth.' In a statement on Facebook, Ukraine's military specified that 'the enemy used Iranian Shahed-136 UAVs in strikes launched from the territory of Belarus' and the Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia, adding that nine drones were 'destroyed'. Before Monday, Ukraine said it had already downed many of the HESA Shahed 136 loitering munitions (also known as suicide drones or kamikaze drones). Between September 30 and October 6 alone, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence said it had destroyed 24 of the weapons, which are designed to be flown directly into targets - overwhelming and evading air defences along the way. With a range of more than 600 miles, the explosive-laden drones can 'loiter' above potential targets for hours before being slammed directly into enemy soldiers, vehicles or buildings from above - causing an explosion. Reports coming out of Ukraine suggest the drones have inflicted serious damage to Kyiv's forces, as well as Ukrainian infrastructure. Ukrainians who have witnessed attacks by the drones say they make a recognisable noise, and have described them as sounding like 'motorbikes' in the air, while some soldiers have taken to calling it 'the flying lawnmower'. While the drones can be devastating to their targets, soldiers have said they a vulnerable to small arms fire. On Saturday, the General Staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine released a video on Facebook showing a smoking wreckage that it claimed to be one of the drones. The post said it had been shot down by a machine gun. Continued at the link

Russian analysis: British SAS special forces with Ukrainian GURs blow up Kerch bridge in Crimea
How did the business come about? 10/10/2022 - 21:52 in Russia 0 Russian analysis: British SAS special forces with Ukrainian GURs blow up Kerch bridge in Crimea It is extremely important to understand what happened and how at the Crimean bridge. To prevent this from happening in the future. But it is equally important to determine who did it, writes Sergey Isenko in the Russian "Free Press". The Russian editor notes: Cinematic actions Notice how clearly everything was done. The truck, loaded to the brim with explosives, didn't just make it onto the bridge unimpeded. His appearance there was precisely timed with the movement of a huge freight train loaded with fuel along the bridge. And the explosion itself, it seems, happened at the exact moment when the train and the truck, making parallel routes and at the same speeds, approached. In those moments, the distance between them became almost zero, for such a flammable cargo, and the plan was set in motion. And one more important thing, in my opinion, sir. If the destruction of part of the Crimean bridge began with the explosion of a car loaded with explosives, then an ordinary car was definitely not involved there. It was specially equipped and the truck driver absolutely had to get out of the cab in time to survive. Jumping, for example, from the pavement into the waters of the Kerch Strait. Where it might have already been expected by those who actually had it planned. But in this case, to complete the operation, the car itself had to be equipped. so that in the final stage of sabotage they can be controlled remotely. Let's say, from a foreign vessel passing in visual visibility from the bridge. Or from a reconnaissance aircraft that was unidentifiable to us, the likes of which have not been seen in this area for a long time. So far, of course, this is just speculation. But if they are mainly confirmed, there will simply be a lot of questions for the organizers of the protection and defense of the Crimean bridge from the Russian guard and the FSB. With the corresponding organizational conclusions for those officials who for years told us with courage that not even a fly would fly over the strategic object that they guarded with such diligence. Was it the work of Ukrainian special forces only? We will certainly be sure that this simply spectacularly organized and flawlessly executed sabotage of one of Russia's most closely guarded facilities is the work of exclusively Ukrainian saboteurs. Most likely, it is under the Central Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine. But is it so? Because if such specialists are really in the GUR, what prevented them from decommissioning the Crimean bridge even earlier? For example, at the height of the summer season on the peninsula. Then the magnitude of the disaster would seem even more impressive. At least for a public space. Therefore, it is likely that someone much more experienced and skilled in saboteur work has, almost certainly, contributed to GUR's efforts in this direction in recent weeks and months. It seems we're entitled to guess – who exactly? In order to reach the correct, probably, conclusions, we will try to analyze several facts. Already on April 23, 2022, that is, exactly two months after the start of the Russian special operation, the RIA Novosti agency, citing sources in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that at least two groups of experts in sabotage and guerrilla warfare had arrived in that country from the city Hereford by the British Special Air Service (SAS). The composition of one was at least 8-10 people. How many in the second was not known at the time. At the time one could only guess at the duties of the British saboteurs. But it has long been known that the people who serve in the SAS are considered among the most highly skilled in the world in organizing coups, mass protest rallies, paid assassinations of politicians, recruiting agents, including those in the highest echelons of power, preparing terrorist attacks. "These are not ordinary special forces, these are intellectuals, in each group there is always an ideologue, one might say a professor, and the rest are specialized specialists... Most likely, these specialists arrived to improve the skills and effectiveness of Ukrainian special services while coordinating the activities of sabotage groups on the territories of Ukraine, which are controlled by Russian troops," added a Russian Defense Ministry official. It is also known that the SAS special forces participated in the past quite effectively in the Korean War, the conflict in Northern Ireland, the war between Great Britain and Argentina over the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), the events in the Persian Gulf and the NATO Campaign in Afghanistan. And everywhere their main tasks were the destruction of enemy headquarters, command posts, railway junctions, ammunition and weapons depots, etc. Most of the time, their own fighter jets targeted the mentioned objects. However, in the face of opposition from a powerful air defense system (and their presence on the Russian Crimea bridge was not a secret) or the small size of the selected target, the special forces of this special service took action. In June this year, the presence of British saboteurs in Ukraine was confirmed in the West. American investigative journalist Seth Harp published his correspondence with a mercenary from the United States who said that British Special Forces (SAS) soldiers are fighting in Ukraine. And yet, they say, they already have losses from "friendly fire" of inexperienced soldiers from Ukraine. “We lost a British SAS sniper. The fighter advanced to the position, but the Ukrainian armored personnel carrier turned it into dust, since no one warned its crew, "the mercenary told investigator Harp. In June, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that it somehow managed to obtain detailed technical documentation for the Crimean bridge. Logically, this was necessary to calculate in advance the most vulnerable points from the point of view of saboteurs of the main bridge of Russia today. They publicly discussed the Crimean strike Finally, on August 15, Ukrainian MP Oleksiy Goncharenko boasted that Kyiv had held talks with British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace about a plan to destroy the Crimean bridge at the NATO summit in June. And he confirmed it with photos taken at the negotiating table. According to them, it turned out that the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson was also sitting at the table that day. That is, the level was high. Meanwhile, the very fact of such negotiations in London could indicate only one thing: Britain, together with the Ukrainians, is preparing to participate in the destruction of the Crimean bridge in the most direct way. Otherwise, what else was there to advise in her capital? And what means of such sabotage could the British have in Ukraine? Only SAS specialists could handle such a delicate matter. On August 17, both here and in the West, there were suggestions that the SAS "warmed up" in our Kursk area in front of the Crimean bridgehead. On this day, electricity transmission towers were blown up near the villages of Pryamitsyno and Lyubitskoye, which are located 44 kilometers from each other and lead to the Kursk nuclear power plant. All this threatened major technological problems at the nuclear power plant. But Russian personnel managed to avert the worst. But those who started it, could not hold on. This has once again been proven: people with the highest sabotage and reconnaissance skills are working against us. And only now, for the close cooperation of SAS and GUR came the result of the strike on the Crimean bridge. linkTags: monimUkraine

Kyiv bombed Russian territory: The electricity production facilities in Belgorod are on fire!
The Russians are talking about a Ukrainian strike 11/10/2022 - 21:03 in Ukraine 0 Ukraine: The Russians shot down a Ukrainian helicopter and an aircraft The governor of Russia's Belgorod province, which borders Ukraine, today accused Kyiv of shelling power plants that left "about 2,000 residents" without power. "The Ukrainian army bombed a power station in Shebeniko," a town of 40,000 residents seven kilometers from the border, Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on Telegram. He clarified that there are no victims. "A transformer was damaged by the projectiles. Currently, more than 2,000 residents do not have electricity , "he added. Earlier today, the Russian military carried out new, massive bombings in Ukraine, mainly targeting power generation infrastructure in various regions. Ukrainian authorities called on residents to limit consumption. Since the spring, Russian territories bordering Ukraine have been sporadically bombed, especially communities on the border. On Monday, the governor of Belgorod announced that a 74-year-old woman was killed and several other people were injured in a shelling of the city of Sebekino. link

Russian Spy Agency Identifies Crimean Bridge Bombers – Reveals Route of Bomb Through Ukraine, Bulgaria, Armenia and Georgia Before Exploding on Russian Bridge
By Jim Hoft Published October 12, 2022 at 2:50pm According to Russian news agency Tass, an explosion occurred in early Saturday morning on one of Putin’s prestige projects and Europe’s longest bridge, which connects Russia and Crimea. TRENDING: BREAKING: Saudi Arabia Foreign Ministry Confirms Joe Biden Attempted to Coerce Kingdom to Cut Oil Prices Until After Midterm Election After annexing Crimea at the start of the Russo-Ukrainian War, Russia built the bridge. It is the longest bridge ever constructed in Russia, at 19 kilometers (12 miles), and the longest bridge in all of Europe. Besides transportation, Russia’s motivation for building the bridge was to legitimize its territorial claims in Crimea. Following the attack on Saturday, the Ukrainian Department of Defense threatened more attacks on Russia. On Wednesday the Russian Spy Agency FSB announced they had identified the team behind the bombing. They also revealed the route the truck traveled from Ukraine, through Bulgaria, Armenia and Georgia before blowing up on the Russian bridge to Crimea. Via The Daily Mail. The FSB has arrested eight people over the Crimean bridge attack while revealing an X-ray of what it says was the bomb that caused the blast. Moscow’s spies say the men – five Russians and three people from Ukraine and Armenia – worked with a Ukrainian agent named ‘Ivan Ivanovic’ to ship the 23-ton device through four countries over two months before it detonated on the bridge. They say the bomb – disguised as industrial plastic sheeting – began its journey in Odesa, in southern Ukraine, before going via Bulgaria to Armenia, then across Georgia and into Russia before it was diverted to Simferopol, in Crimea. At some point a truck carrying the device was X-rayed. The FSB says accompanying paperwork was changed at least twice to conceal its origins, under the direct orders of Ukrainian security service chief Kirill Budanov. Ukraine has called the FSB’s allegations ‘nonsense’ and has not claimed responsibility for the blast, which partially crippled the main road and rail link between Russia and occupied Crimea. link

Russian soldiers calling Ukrainian surrender hotline by the thousands - GUR
Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense Representative Andriy Yusov said over 2,000 calls to the surrender hotline have been made thus far – and that the number is growing. By JERUSALEM POST STAFF Published: OCTOBER 7, 2022 06:13 A representative from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense (GUR) announced that thousands of phone calls have been made by Russian forces declaring the surrender to the ministry since the hotline debuted a few weeks ago, the GUR representative announced on an interview with TV channel "FREEDOM" on Monday. Representative Andriy Yusov from GUR said the calls have come from soldiers awaiting deployment and even Russian troops who have already been mobilized. He added that over 2,000 calls have been made thus far and that the number is growing. Yusov added that in some instances, wives call the hotline to inquire about securing surrenders for their husbands. Yusov also explained that Ukraine will follow Geneva Conventions protocol and allow surrendering forces access to medical care and allowed to contact their relatives. “Most importantly, they get to live instead of being turned into cannon fodder in a war of Ruscists [supporters of the Russian administration] and Putin against Ukraine,” he said. Russian struggles in the war Stories of Russian soldiers capitulating have grown in frequency as Russia continues to struggle in its war efforts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that Ukrainian forces have "fully cleared" the strategic town of Lyman of Russian forces, adding to recent Ukrainian land gains, while prominent Putin allies have begun criticizing leading figures of the Russian Armed Forces for what they consider a failing war effort. link
