Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas spoke about the “just established” governance board during a congressional hearing on Wednesday, arguing it would help reduce domestic threats to the United States.



The team will focus on irregular migration and Russia, according to a report from Politico’s Daniel Lippman.



Nina Jankowicz, a fellow for the Wilson Center, confirmed reports that she would direct the board, sharing her official government portrait on her social media profile.

The Department of Homeland Security has created a “disinformation” board led by a woman who has criticized First Amendment rights and dismissed troubling reports of Hunter Biden’s laptop as a “Trump campaign” ploy.



Nina Jankowicz has been on the job for a couple of months, but Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas only revealed the disinformation board’s existence this week in testimony to Congress, when prodded about what his department is doing to help minority communities combat election disinformation.



“The goal is to bring the resources of the department together to address this threat,” Mr. Mayorkas told lawmakers.



Homeland Security described the board’s expansive duties, saying it will combat the wide swath of disinformation. In the immediate term, its focus will be on disinformation surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and on the messaging smuggling groups are peddling to would-be illegal immigrants, the department said.



But the broad scope of its purview and the appointment of Ms. Jankowicz as its lead have raised questions about the board.



Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, called the board a “speech police.”

DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas has developed a “disinformation governance board” which will target and eliminate any incriminating information that the federal government doesn’t want the public to hear. This “disinformation board” will demand public obedience to oppressive Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols and shut down any evidence of election fraud. The agency will take on “misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia.”



This “disinformation” unit is designed to cover up government crimes while targeting the truth-tellers who expose those crimes. The executive director of this new Orwellian venture is Nina Jankowicz. She is a former advisor to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and a former disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center. She oversaw issues related to the National Democratic Institute lobby group. Jankowicz is the perfect candidate to cover up the Biden regime’s war crimes in Ukraine. Jankowicz will be in charge of fine-tuning the administration’s official narratives and targeting any opposition to those narratives.

Biden’s Controversial Ministry of Truth Czar Offered Advice to New President in 2020: Disinformation Is ‘an American Pathology’

Long before Nina Jankowicz was tapped by Joe Biden to head the Disinformation Governance Board in the Department of Homeland Security, she offered advice to the new president and claimed disinformation is “an American pathology” that has to be cured.



In her piece “How to Defeat Disinformation: An Agenda for the Biden Administration” in Foreign Affairs magazine in November of 2020, Jankowicz spelled out what she believed should be done at the White House, including creating her job to quash conspiracy theories about the outcome of the election.



The author of books on disinformation not only offered advice to Biden but promoted the idea of a new federal post by saying that Biden should use “new governmental structures and legislation” to fight back.

Homegrown disinformation proliferated in this election year, including claims that so-called antifa militants started wildfires in the Pacific Northwest and assertions—fed by the mushrooming QAnon conspiracy—that Trump is saving the country from a powerful cabal of pedophiles. Such false and wild notions have blossomed in the societal fissures that have widened under Trump—between those who live in rural areas and those who live in cities, for instance, and those who see systemic racism as a major problem and those who don’t. These divisions have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, four years of Trump’s populist rhetoric, and a social media environment that encourages outrage and extremism. The White House has sought to combat disinformation only when forced to and continues to put pressure on social media companies for its own political convenience—bristling, for instance, at content moderation decisions that affect the president, such as Twitter’s decision to label Trump’s tweets as suspect. Social media platforms have made temporary, surface-level changes to curb the spread of false claims, but they continue to profit from the very structures and imperatives that are now driving groups of Trump-supporting, reality-denying vigilantes to rally at ballot counting centers across the country.



Biden and his advisers seem to recognize the scale and scope of the problem. As a bridge builder and big-tent politician, the president-elect may be uniquely equipped to lead efforts to shore up American resilience to foreign and domestic disinformation. Biden is the lone American signatory of the Pledge for Election Integrity, a 2019 document drafted by the transatlantic nonprofit group Alliance of Democracies. The group of mostly European politicians who signed the pledge promised they would not “fabricate, use or spread data or materials that were falsified, fabricated, doxed or stolen for disinformation or propaganda purposes”; distribute deepfake videos; or utilize inauthentic means, such as bots, to amplify their messages. Biden should continue to lead by example and convince Democratic and Republican members of Congress and state and local officials to pledge to abide by these principles.



After four fractious years of politicization and polarization, however, it will take more than official pledges to address the degradation of public discourse in the United States and the manipulation of information by self-interested charlatans. The next administration will do better in this fight only if it pushes for new governmental structures and legislation. The president-elect’s record of bipartisanship presents an opportunity to push for clear, apolitical measures to safeguard American democracy from the toxic threat of disinformation.



Jankowicz said Biden should take the threat of disinformation “seriously” and mocked President Donald Trump for his own claims of disinformation about him as “a hoax.”

Biden’s Disinformation Chief Nina Jankowicz: Online Mockery of Kamala Harris a Threat to Democracy and National Security

President Joe Biden’s new disinformation chief Nina Jankowicz argued online mockery of Vice President Kamala Harris and other women in public life was a threat to national security.



“Platforms and governments aren’t doing enough,” she wrote on social media. “It’s time to act. Our national security and democracy are at stake.”



The Department of Homeland Security announced the creation of the new Disinformation Governance Board led by Jankowicz on Wednesday.



Jankowicz argued that Congress should create new laws to block mockery of women online, citing the volume of “gender disinformation” used to criticize Harris.



“Congress should reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and include provisions against online gender-based harassment,” Jankowicz wrote in a WIRED article highlighting the “abusive content” sent on social media to women in public life.

Jankowicz was the author of a report examining the online mockery of Harris during the 2020 election and noted the Vice President received a majority of derogatory online posts against women.



In the article, Jankowicz outlined tech companies and government should work together using “creativity and technological prowess to make a pariah of online misogyny.”



Social media companies, she argued should “make the shift toward believing women” allowing them to identify and censor content. Jankowicz also called for tech companies to stop “a tacit pile-on instruction” from influential people with a lot of online followers.



Jankowicz said online mockery of women was a threat to democracy, warning that “gender disinformation” could prevent women from running for office.



In September 2021, Jankowicz testified about “gender misinformation” being a threat to democracy in the British House of Parliament.

Thursday, FNC host Tucker Carlson decried recently unveiled efforts from the Biden administration to crack down on so-called disinformation through the use of the federal government’s power.



Homeland Security Secretary announced his cabinet agency was establishing a disinformation governance board “to more effectively combat” what he deemed a threat to election and homeland security.





Transcript as follows:



CARLSON: When Elon Musk first announced that he was buying Twitter, it was pretty obvious the Democratic Party would soon become unhinged, not just angry or annoyed in the way you’re very used to, but instead, legitimately terrified and hysterical.



Imagine how you’d feel if an armed intruder broke into your home at three in the morning. You couldn’t exactly know where things were going, but you’d be dead certain that everything was at stake. That’s how Democrats feel right now. Because in fact, everything is at stake.



Joe Biden cannot continue to control this country if you have free access to information. It’s that simple. Biden certainly is not improving your life. He is not even trying to improve your life. So the best he can do is lie to you and demand that you believe it.



But to do that, he needs to make certain that nobody else can talk because if you were to hear the truth, you might not obey. How is Biden going to pull that off? It’s not easy.



Well, one option would be to get men with guns to tell you to shut up. Most Americans probably haven’t thought of that because this isn’t Africa or Eastern Europe, this is America, and we don’t do things like that here and never have more precisely, we haven’t until now.



But now, Joe Biden is President and everything is different.



So today, to herald the coming of the new Soviet America, the administration announced its own Ministry of Truth. This will be called the Disinformation Governance Board. Laugh if you want but just to show you they’re not kidding around here, this board is not part of the State Department or any other agency focused on foreign threats from abroad. No.



The disinformation governance board is part of the Department of Homeland Security. DHS is a law enforcement agency designed to police the United States and that, by the way, has a famously large stockpile of ammunition. So it’s not a joke at all.

CARLSON: Oh, so one of America’s top law enforcement officers just announced this to the Congress that actually we are going to be policing what you say, and everyone in the room kind of nods, “Oh, yes, that’s totally normal.”



But here’s what he didn’t say. So America has told us the disinformation is a threat to Homeland Security. He is the head of the Department of Homeland Security, so presumably he would know since assessing threats to Homeland Security is his job, but what he didn’t tell us is how he is defining disinformation.



So, here you have this new and terrifying thing that the Biden administration is so concerned about that it has created a new agency to fight it. But Mayorkas never said or even hinted as to what it might be. So the man in charge of the disinformation governing board never defined disinformation. It’s almost unbelievable when you think about it.



Would you declare war on a country you couldn’t name? Would you send someone to death for a crime you couldn’t describe? Of course, you would, not if you were a sane and decent person, because you can’t have justice without precise definitions. That’s why we have very large books of law that define what is allowed and what is not.



But they’re not defining the core concept at the heart of what is effectively a new law enforcement agency. Maybe that’s because Mayorkas doesn’t want justice, and neither does the President he serves. They want power, and to get power, they plan to control what you think. Watch Mayorkas explain.

MAYORKAS: We have so many different efforts underway to equip local communities to identify individuals who very well could be descending into violence, by reason of ideologies of hate, false narratives, or other disinformation and misinformation propagated on social media and other platforms.

CARLSON: Oh, did you know that? So, one of our biggest law enforcement agencies has men with guns around the country doing so many things to stop disinformation and false narratives. Those aren’t even lies, they’re just deviations from the approved script.



Mayorkas told us again that men with guns plan to quote, “identify individuals who could be descending into violence.” Could be descending — not people who have committed violence or even been accused of any crime at all. DHS is instead using law enforcement powers to identify and punish people who think the wrong things, that would be opponents of the Biden administration. Is this dystopian fiction? No, it’s happening right in front of us.

The Biden administration was only doing as it was told in creating a Disinformation Governance Board, which Republicans have dubbed the “Ministry of Truth,” according to former Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii.



Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed the existence of the Disinformation Governance Board, according to the Washington Post.

On top of that, it was revealed that the board is headed by Nina Jankowicz, who has attacked efforts to spread the revelations contained in Hunter Biden’s laptop.



Gabbard said that Biden, who was vice president in the Obama administration, is only carrying out the wishes of his former boss.


“Biden is just a front man,” Gabbard tweeted. “Obama, April 21: social media censors ‘don’t go far enough,’ so the government needs to step in to do the job. Six days later, Homeland Security rolls out the ‘Ministry of Truth’ (aka Disinformation Governance Board).”

If Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado has her way, Congress will put an end the Biden administration’s effort to equate the truth with whatever it might want it to be.



Earlier this week, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas revealed the existence of the Disinformation Governance Board, according to The Washington Post.



“We have just established a mis- and disinformation governance board in the Department of Homeland Security to more effectively combat this threat, not only to election security but to our homeland security,” he said.



On top of that, it was revealed that the board is headed by Nina Jankowicz, who has attacked efforts to spread the revelations contained in Hunter Biden’s laptop.



Boebert said enough is enough, tweeting, “I don’t think people are fully understanding the severity of what a Ministry of Truth organized by DHS truly means. This is Stalin level. This is Mao level. This is the hill to die on.

She said she had introduced legislation to end the unit.



“This kind of stuff is terrifying. We in Congress have the power of the purse. It is our duty to shut down this department immediately,” Boebert said Friday, according to Fox News.


“I’m calling on leadership in the Republican Party — Leader [Kevin] McCarthy, Whip [Steve] Scalise and others — to join me in calling for this department to be shut down and defunded,” she said.

Vance, whose candidacy in the Ohio Republican Senate primary race has been endorsed by former President Donald Trump, exclusively told SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Daily that Biden’s Disinformation Governance Board is a blatant attempt to silence Americans on social media companies controlled by a handful of billion-dollar tech corporations.


“It is petrifying and I think we should take it seriously because whether it’s Biden or the people who pull the strings, this is definitely a very serious thing,” Vance said of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Disinformation Governance Board, announced by DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas this week.



“It’s just a clear effort to try to create a propaganda ministry that further enforces the speech codes that allow the left to dominate debate,” Vance said.



Vance said he found it “hilarious that this comes out about the same time that Elon Musk announces that he’s going to buy Twitter,” suggesting the Biden administration is worried about the Tesla founder returning the social media company to a free speech-oriented platform.



Vance also called out Nina Jankowicz, the Biden-appointed chief of his Disinformation Governance Board. Jankowicz has called herself the “Mary Poppins of Disinformation” and claimed that any online mocking of Vice President Kamala Harris is a threat to national security, among other things.

Here's Your Disinformation: Now Psaki Is Claiming That TRUMP Started Biden’s Thought Police Board

Is this some of that disinformation the Biden administration is talking about? Jen Psaki on Friday twice claimed that the Biden administration’s Orwellian and ominous new Disinformation Governance Board isn’t really new at all, and in fact, was started not by Old Joe or his DHS hatchet man, Alejandro Mayorkas, but by one Donald J. Trump. Psaki delivered this whopper with a clear tone of What are all you racist, redneck, MAGA-hat wearing yahoos getting all upset about? This was all your guy’s idea. She offered no evidence, and there doesn’t seem to be any for her to have offered.



Psaki said this under question from Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich, who noted that both Mayorkas and Psaki had expressed some unfamiliarity with the bizarre fascist who will be heading up the Ministry of Truth, Nina Jankowicz. Heinrich asked Psaki, “How was she hired if you and the White House are not familiar with her and Mayorkas is not familiar with her statements? What’s the process for, um, putting her into a position like this, and who’s in charge of hiring her?” Indeed — although it’s clear that Jankowicz, who bills herself on her website as “an internationally-recognized expert on disinformation,” is an enthusiastic proponent of government censorship who has been preparing for this job for her entire professional life.



She then launched into a potted history of Jankowicz’s career:



Well, let me give you a sense of who she is. She’s an expert on online disinformation. She was formerly in the Wilson Center as disinforma– she was formerly a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center. She’s testified before Congress, as well as the United Kingdom and European Parliament, advised a Ukrainian foreign minister, particularly relevant in this moment, under the auspices of a Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship and overseeing Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute. Any hiring decisions are up to the Department of Homeland Security, but this is a person with extensive qualifications. What I will tell you about the, um, Board and what the Board is doing, this is a continuation of work that began at the Department of Homeland Security in 2020 under former President Trump.



Heinrich followed up with a question about Jankowicz’s video in which she tells people not to vote for those who supposedly spread “disinformation,” and Psaki responded by claiming again that the Board was “again, a continuation of the work of the former president, so for anyone who’s critical of it, I don’t – I didn’t hear them being critical of the work under the former president, which is just interesting to note contextually.” She went on to explain that the Board would fight “misinformation spread by human smugglers,” which she said was work begun in the Trump administration, and added semi-coherently: “This is also work, um, that is helping to, uh, address unauthorized terrorism, other threats, and see how disinformation and misinformation is being pushed to lead, uh, to increase those.”

Nina Jankowicz, 2020: Government Should Not Be in ‘Business’ of Policing ‘Disinformation’

Nina Jankowicz, the newly-appointed head of the Biden administration’s Disinformation Governance Board, told Congress in October 2020 that she saw no role for the federal government in policing disinformation online.



“I do not think government should be in that business,” she said during testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.



Jankowicz, who has since argued for a strong government role in pushing back against “disinformation,” was questioned by Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), who said that his experience growing up in tyrannical countries in Latin America had made him “violently allergic” to governments that claimed to be regulating the flow of information.



“We start going down that path, and we are not just ‘breaking democracy,’ we are breaking classical, enlightened liberalism,” he said. He added that he believed that it was “pretty lame” that government appeared to be outsourcing the effort to deal with disinformation to Silicon Valley tech companies.



Himes also challenged Jankowicz: “I actually want to see the evidence that people are seeing this information, and are in a meaningful way, in a material way, dismantling our democracy through violence or through political organizations.”



He also noted that there were also examples of Democrats using “disinformation,” such as then-President Barack Obama “that if they wanted to keep their private insurance plan, they could do it. That turned out not to be true.” He asked whether social media companies should therefore pursue the former president as well for breaking his promise to the voters.

The White House on Monday said the newly created Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Disinformation Governance Board would be “non-partisan” despite the leader of the board’s history of partisan statements on social media.



“The mandate is not to adjudicate what is true or false online or otherwise, it will operate in a non-partisan and apolitical manner,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at the daily briefing.



The appointed executive director of the board, Nina Jankowicz, publicly stated her support for failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.



“Maybe Hillary Clinton’s most important point so far: A Donald Trump presidency would embolden ISIS,” she wrote on Twitter with the hashtag #ImWithHer.

Nina Jankowicz Voiced Fear of ‘Free Speech Absolutists’ Like Elon Musk After Starting Job for DHS Disinformation Board

Nina Jankowicz, the leader of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) new Disinformation Governance Board expressed fears of “free speech absolutists” like Elon Musk taking over social media platforms — after she was hired by the government.



Jankowicz, who started work at the DHS on March 2 did a National Public Radio interview on April 16 reacting to the news of Elon Musk trying to take over Twitter.



During the interview with host Michel Martin, Jankowicz was asked about “free speech absolutist” Elon Musk.



“The platforms aren’t doing very much right now,” she said. “And I shudder to think about if free speech absolutists were taking over more platforms, what that would look like for the marginalized communities all around the world.”



Jankowicz promoted her latest book in the interview, How To Be A Woman Online: Surviving Abuse And Harassment, And How To Fight Back, and complained about the criticism and mockery that she faced online.

She indicated more censorship was necessary.



“We need the platforms to do more, and we frankly need law enforcement and our legislatures to do more as well,” she said.



Jankowicz spoke favorably about the United Kingdom considering an “online safety bill” that would make mean harassing online content illegal.



She also called for tech platforms to punish online trolls for mistreating women.

DHS Secretary Claims He Was 'Not Aware' of Disinformation Board Chair's Troubling History of Pushing Leftist Falsehoods

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on Wednesday said he was not aware that the woman picked to lead the department’s Disinformation Governance Board had publicly taken stands later proved utterly wrong.



Mayorkas announced last week that the board would be headed by Nina Jankowicz, who in 2020 suggested that reports about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop were Russian disinformation. The laptop’s contents have since been authenticated.



During a Wednesday hearing, Republican Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana tried to learn what the Department of Homeland Security knew when it put Jankowicz in charge of the new disinformation board.



“I am in awe of Ms. Jankowicz. I have watched her with slack-jawed astonishment,” Kennedy said. “Who picked her?”



Mayorkas replied that “the Department of Homeland Security selected Ms. Jankowicz.”

“Who at the department picked her?” Kennedy asked.



“Senator, we don’t discuss our internal hiring processes,” Mayorkas replied. “I am the secretary of homeland security and ultimately I am responsible.”

“When the department picked her, did it know that she had said that Mr. Hunter Biden’s laptop is Russian disinformation?” Kennedy asked.


“I was not aware of that. We do not discuss the internal hiring process. Ultimately, as the secretary I am responsible for the decisions of the Department of Homeland Security,” Mayorkas responded.



“When the department picked Ms. Jankowicz, did it know that she had vouched for the veracity of the Steele dossier?” Kennedy asked.



“Senator, let me repeat myself and add an additional fact. One, we do not discuss internal hiring processes. Two, I was not aware of that fact,” Mayorkas said.



“Three, as the secretary of homeland security I am responsible for the decisions of the department and four, it is my understanding that Ms. Jankowicz is a subject matter expert in the field in which she will be working on behalf of the department.”

(Natural News) As you may have seen, the Biden regime launched a “Disinformation Board” that it claims will help combat “disinformation” online. Meanwhile, the regime wants us all to believe that a man can become a “woman,” if he so chooses.



Biden’s “Ministry of Truth,” as many are calling it, was launched right as billionaire technocrat Elon Musk did a dramatic purchase of Twitter, one of the most heavily censored social media platforms in existence.



Musk took aim at the tweet giant’s current leadership, which just like the Biden regime hates free speech and promotes censorship of contrarian ideas – one of them being the idea that there are only two genders: male and female.



This is a biological fact, and yet the Biden regime claims that there are unlimited genders. It also claims that men can get pregnant, which is a biological impossibility.



Rachel Levine, a man pretending to be a “woman” who holds a top position in the Biden regime as the U.S. Secretary for Health, is regularly referred to as a “woman,” even though “she” was born with male genitalia.



Levine recently attacked Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladopo for issuing a statement on April 20 clarifying that hormone “treatments” for children are dangerous and that many children regret it once they become adults.



Levine’s agency, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), recently issued a statement, which Ladopo addressed, that erroneously states:



“For transgender and nonbinary children and adolescents, early gender-affirming care is crucial to overall health and well-being as it allows the child or adolescent to focus on social transitions and can increase their confidence while navigating the healthcare system.”


One of the worst purveyors of disinformation is the highly corrupt Biden regime


There is simply no evidence beyond wishful thinking among LGBTQs that permanently destroying one’s hormones and body somehow makes a child happier and healthier, but this is what the Biden regime is claiming.



In fact, gender-bending procedures and drug cocktails have destroyed tens of thousands of children’s lives. Most, if not all, of them, end up requiring a lifetime of medical care just to survive.
