Historical low for the Iranian currency
Today, the Iranian currency reached a historic low against the dollar.
One dollar equals 325,000 Iranian rials.
Amusingly, as in Lebanon for example, the official exchange rate of the currency, set by the government, is very far from the exchange rate in the markets.
The official rate in Iran is 42,000 rials to one dollar. That is, about eight times higher than reality.

"When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” - Matthew 16:13-16

Press release from the Israeli Foreign Ministry:
“The Foreign Ministry condemns the Norwegian government's decision to label products coming from Israeli localities in Judea and Samaria. This is a decision that will not contribute to the promotion of Israeli-Palestinian relations, and will adversely affect the bilateral relations between Israel and Norway and the relevance of Norway to the promotion of Israeli-Palestinian relations.”

A little background to the Israeli press release:
The Norwegian government has announced that it will not mention products manufactured in settlements that are manufactured in Israel.
Norway announced (Saturday, June 11, 2002) that it will require the labeling of Israeli products manufactured in Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights. According to a statement from the Norwegian government, this is the implementation of a decision of the European Court of Justice from 2019 which called on the EU countries to label Israeli food products produced in the settlements.
The decision of the European Court was given following an appeal made to it in relation to the requirement to mark wines produced at Psagot Winery in Samaria. According to the same decision, it is forbidden to write about products made in Judea, Samaria or the Golan Heights that they were made in Israel, but it must be written that the product is made "in an Israeli settlement."

Now to my commentary:
One must take in consideration the political and social situation in Norway and the progressive minority government is trying to get the sympathy of the many Muslims in the country.
It is very interesting to see that the Norwegian government supposedly tried to implement a European court decision however Norway is NOT an EU member. Most if not all EU members themselves don’t follow this court order as it falls on the sheer definition of antisemitism! Can you imagine that being done to any other country? Labels can never solve territorial disputes
And lastly: it’s the Palestinians who will suffer from this poor decision since they are the main work power in those Israeli owned factories. If business is bad and their work place will shut down - they will go home unemployed!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation." - 2 Corinthians 5:17-19

Iranian media reported yesterday (Saturday) that Ali Kamani, an officer in the Air Force of the Revolutionary Guards, died "during a mission" - and about an hour after his death it was learned that the scientist Muhammad Abdus, who worked for satellite, ballistic missile and UAV companies, died in similar circumstances. Iran, it will emphasize, has issued an official statement regarding the deaths of the two.
