“It’s time to impeach” President Biden and expunge former President Donald Trump’s impeachments, Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) told Breitbart News Saturday, following a continued showing of Biden family corruption exposed by whistleblowers and backed by the emergence of new documents.

Host Matthew Boyle pointed to the release of an FBI document which showed that Ukrainian officials said they were able to pay money to the Bidens to achieve certain objectives, prompting Banks to point out that “we already knew that [the] Bidens are the most corrupt family ever to live in the White House, and that’s saying a lot after the Clintons lived there.”

“But what we saw more of this week is more proof and more evidence,” Banks, who is running for a Senate seat, said, explaining that it means that Republicans must follow through and hold Joe Biden accountable.

“It’s time to impeach him. The evidence was already there, but this is further evidence that this is the type of high crimes and misdemeanors that should prevent this man from serving any day longer in the White House than what he already has.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene ordered House Republicans to step up to the plate and finish the job. She took to the floor of the House to call for President Joe Biden’s impeachment and for an expungement of former President Donald Trump’s impeachments.



She said: “I was kicked off committees by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats not because of Facebook comments or likes, but because I introduced Articles of Impeachment against Joe Biden that were correct and are vindicated day after day with all the evidence we already have.



“Today, I delivered a floor speech explaining why our Republican-led House must move forward with an impeachment inquiry on Joe Biden for corruption and abuse of power.



“We have the evidence.



“Unlike the Democrats with their bogus impeachments of President Trump.



“It’s time to IMPEACH Biden and EXPUNGE President Trump’s impeachments,” she said.



Speaker McCarthy said: “We’ve only followed where the information has taken us.



“But Hannity, this is rising to the level of impeachment inquiry, which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed.”



Rep. Ralph Norman of South Carolina said he is ready to impeach Biden:



“It’s time for the speaker to weigh in, and he has the evidence over the last seven months it’s accumulated.


“If there’s not accountability now for the highest office, when is it going to be?”

Funnel Cloud Spins Over Capitol as McCarthy Floats Impeachment Inquiry of Joe Biden

A funnel cloud was spotted over the US Capitol building on Tuesday as Speaker McCarthy floated an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden.



McCarthy floated impeachment Monday night during an appearance on Fox News after it was reported Hunter Biden’s former business associate will testify on Joe Biden’s corruption.



Hunter Biden’s former associate and convicted felon, Devon Archer, is reportedly cooperating with Republican lawmakers and will testify this week on the $10 million Ukraine-Biden bribe.



According to New York Post reporter Miranda Devine, Devon Archer is going to sing like a canary and tell Congress that Hunter Biden put his dad, then-VP Joe Biden on speakerphone into meetings with his foreign business associates at least two dozen times.


“This is rising to level of impeachment inquiry…something we haven’t seen since Richard Nixon, used the weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congressional oversight,” McCarthy said of Biden’s crimes.



The House of Representatives is set to go on a six-week recess this week so the impeachment inquiry won’t begin until the fall.

Meanwhile, a funnel cloud spun over the Capitol on Tuesday as the House prepared to launch an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden.



A meteorologist said the funnel cloud was not tornadic.

Pressure Mounts to Impeach Joe Biden from Republican Judiciary House Members

Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee welcomed House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) long-awaited signal that an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden could be on the table in the near future.



Joe Biden is under scrutiny for participating in his family’s business deals after House investigators uncovered wire payments to the family while he was vice president, payment demands from Hunter Biden to Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked officials while “sitting” next to his father, along with texts, whistleblower testimony, and an FBI informant form implicating Joe Biden in the family’s business.



“You have to get to the bottom of the truth, and the only way Congress can do that is go to an impeachment inquiry that gives Republicans and Democrats the ability to get all the information,” McCarthy told reporters Tuesday.



House lawmakers exclusively told Breitbart News they support McCarthy’s threat, although some expressed frustrations that McCarthy is not moving quickly enough. Others told Breitbart News impeachment should include not only Joe Biden but members of his administration.



“House Republicans should hold anyone in the Biden Administration accountable for the corruption and blatant weaponization of government agencies in order to serve a political end,” said Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), a member of the Judiciary Committee.



“This includes the president himself for weaponizing the DOJ, but this, importantly, also includes Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas, who has facilitated the largest border crisis in our history and allowed Texas to remain under siege by drug cartels for over two and a half years,” he added.

Judiciary Committee member Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) argued the recent IRS whistleblower allegations concerning the Justice Department preventing an investigation into the “big guy” demands an impeachment inquiry free from political interference.



“We continue to learn about the corruption of the Biden crime family and how deep and wide that corruption seems to go,” she said. “With the revelations of the past several weeks and the increasing pace of new information leading towards the ‘big guy’ being directly involved, it is incumbent upon the Judiciary Committee to immediately open an impeachment investigation.”



“This investigation needs to be free of interference from the Biden Administration and its surrogates, and all requests for documents or testimony need to be honored in a timely manner,” she continued. “The accusations against the president are gravely serious — we must ensure that our investigation is thorough and that we follow the facts wherever they may lead.”


Harrison Fields, Rep. Byron Donalds’ (R-FL) communication director, told Breitbart News that the congressman “supports” McCarthy’s “sentiments.” Donalds is also a member of the Judiciary Committee, which would likely originate impeachment proceedings in the House.



When the impeachment proceeding might begin is unknown. McCarthy told lawmakers Tuesday the inquiry will not begin this week. He reportedly told GOP lawmakers Wednesday he may come to them in the near future and ask for the proceeding, arguing it gives them more tools and investigative powers.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) predicted an impeachment inquiry could be opened as soon as “early September.”



“You have the support of 222 Republican [House] members to move forward with this?” Fox News’s Martha MacCallum asked Issa. “Absolutely,” Issa replied. “As a matter of fact, I would expect that some Democrats would join us in a bipartisan inquiry to get to the truth.”

Rep. Tom McClintock Supports Joe Biden Impeachment Inquiry

Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA), who previously opposed the idea, now supports opening an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.



McClintock supports launching an impeachment inquiry into Biden “on the charge of bribery,” he told CNN’s Annie Grayer.



“McClintock said evidence is ‘mounting’ and if it can be proven ‘that is impeachable,’” Grayer reported.

McClintock adds to the growing number of House Republicans supporting an impeachment inquiry into Biden. The House Judiciary Committee, which McClintock sits on, would donut the impeachment inquiry and investigate Biden to determine if the House should bring formal impeachment proceedings.



This week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said he may consider the impeachment inquiry because it would allow “Congress to get the information to be able to know the truth.”



McCarthy’s comments came one day after telling Fox News, “We will follow this to the end.”



McCarthy would support launching an impeachment inquiry if House Republicans secure the evidence to justify it, Politico reported, citing three GOP lawmakers in a closed-door meeting with the Speaker.



“It’s meaningful that he has broached the impeachment subject, and he has acknowledged that the evidence is mounting against the president,” Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) said.



The impeachment inquiry would investigate various corruption claims surrounding Biden and his family.

To explain the GOP’s potential case for opening a historic impeachment inquiry into Biden, McCarthy has pointed broadly to various threads of sweeping GOP investigations. Those include IRS whistleblower allegations that the Justice Department hampered the federal Hunter Biden probe, questions about Biden family business deals and an uncorroborated FBI document that links the president to an unverified bribery claim.



But Republicans have not yet found a smoking gun linking the president to his son’s business arrangements or that Joe Biden accepted a bribe, while both Attorney General Merrick Garland and U.S. Attorney David Weiss have denied the whistleblower allegations.



McClintock’s support is significant because Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spoke with Breitbart News last month and said he was one of the few GOP holdouts.



“Everyone knows that Joe Biden is a criminal, and they [Republicans] will not move forward with impeachment anywhere in Judiciary, because you know what, you know what it is? There’s a couple of Republicans that sit on the Judiciary Committee, Ken Buck and [Tom] McClintock, who don’t want to vote for impeachment,” Greene told Breitbart News.



However, it does not appear Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) will have a change of heart regarding the impeachment inquiry anytime soon.



On Wednesday, Buck accused McCarthy of attempting “impeachment theater” to distract from the upcoming appropriations bills.



“Well, this is impeachment theater. We right now are starting the appropriations process, and there is no consensus on the Republican side about what the number should be,” Buck told CNN. “Kevin McCarthy promised when he was running for speaker one set of numbers, and then he made an agreement with President Biden for the debt ceiling increase on another set of numbers.”

Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo had Elise Stefanik (R-NY) on her show where Maria called for the impeachment of President Joe Biden and four of his Cabinet officials, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary, the Attorney General, the Treasury Secretary, and the Energy Secretary.



Maria said: “I can understand the issues that you’re looking at given the corruption on one hand, and the ineptitude of policy on the other hand.



“You know, who do you impeach first? Do you impeach Joe Biden for corruption, uh, taking all of this money, or do you impeach Alejandro Mayorkas for ineptitude and dereliction of duty at the border?



“Or, do you impeach Merrick Garland for interfering in an investigation and lying under oath?



“I mean, you’ve got lots of choices here, and I didn’t even mention Janet Yellin, telling us inflation was ‘transitory.’



“And the energy secretary Jennifer Granholm not really knowing how much energy and oil we need.”



Elise said:



“Well, certainly, you know, we’re doing multiple investigations on Homeland, you know, it is clear that Secretary Mayorkas has been derelict of his duty.



“But it’s not just Secretary Mayorkas, Maria.



“It’s Joe Biden’s administration.


“When it comes to Attorney General Merrick Garland, it was my questions that revealed that the Department of Justice solicited the letter it used to go after parents as terrorists, based upon my questions that we were able to unveil that.

Biden Mocks Impeachment Threat: ‘I Love That One’

Joe Biden mocked the prospect of an impeachment inquiry during remarks on the economy in Maine on Friday.



“Earlier this week, the Washington Post suggested Republicans may have to find something else to criticize me for now that inflation is coming down,” Biden said. “I don’t know. I love that one.”



Biden was referring to an article titled “As inflation falls, GOP may have to rethink attacks on Biden economy.” He was also referring to the idea — first suggested at Breitbart News in January, then again in March, June, and July — that sufficient evidence exists to support an impeachment inquiry into Biden for bribery, given his lucrative foreign business deals in recent years.



Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, developed business interests in Ukraine, China, Kazakhstan, and Romania, during a time when he was struggling with drug addiction, and when he had no business skills or expertise to offer, other than access to his father. Joe Biden told Americans repeatedly during the 2020 campaign that he never discussed his family’s business interests with them, and that no one in his family had earned money from China, but recent revelations suggest that both of those statements were lies.



Bribery is one of the two offenses specifically mentioned by the Constitution as grounds for impeachment, along with treason.



Calls for an impeachment inquiry have been growing in recent weeks, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has begun discussing the possibility openly, for the specific reason that the House’s subpoena powers are broader during an impeachment inquiry than in ordinary oversight. If the Biden administration refuses to provide documents that House committees demand, McCarthy has suggested, he may bring an impeachment inquiry to the floor. He does not yet appear to have the votes, however.



Inflation soared after Biden took office and passed trillions of dollars in additional fiscal spending. It has subsided in recent months, thanks in large part to interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve. Biden’s so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” added trillions in new spending.

GOP Senators Thune, Kennedy, Tillis and Paul Push Back Against Impeachment… Because Emails, Bank Statements, Whistleblowers, Audio Recordings, Photos, a Laptop Computer, $5 Million Bribes, Are Not Enough Proof of Wrongdoing

Earlier today Senator Rand Paul went on with Maria Bartiromo on FOX Business Network.



Senator Paul does not support impeachment for Joe Biden at this point. He wants to see more evidence. And, being such an upstanding American citizen, Paul does not believe every president should be impeached. He leave that to Democrats.

Later on Thursday morning Senator John Thune joined Stuart Varney and also pushed back against impeachment.

Senator Thune and Senator Paul need to see more evidence before they support impeaching Joe Biden. They are upstanding citizens.



FOX News later reported that Senators John Kennedy (R-LA) and Thom Tillis (R-NC) were also against impeachment. They too are honorable Americans.



“I’ll wait to see what evidence they present,” Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said. “But we’ve got to do the homework. They cheapened the process the last two impeachments, and we don’t want to repeat that mistake.”



Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., said there are serious lingering questions about the Biden family, including what the president knew about his son Hunter’s overseas business dealings and if Biden got any money from those deals. However, Kennedy said mere political disagreements should not be grounds for an impeachment.



“No one should be impeached, certainly not a president, unless there is substantial evidence that the president has committed a high crime or misdemeanor,” Kennedy said. “I’m not going to support — and I’m not suggesting this is what Kevin has suggested — but I’m not gonna support impeaching somebody just because I don’t like their politics.”



We now have evidence of Joe Biden’s criminal and impeachable offenses. We have emails, FBI 1023s, numerous bank statements, IRS whistleblowers, audio recordsings, photos, and a laptop computer filled with hundreds of criminal acts.



It’s not enough. It will never be enough. The country is under a Marxist assault and Republicans are too weak to act.

Jonathan Turley: Congress Obligated to Launch Biden Impeachment Inquiry (VIDEO)

Constitutional law expert Jonathan Turley said Congress is obligated to launch in an impeachment inquiry of Joe Biden after he ‘clearly lied’ about his involvement in Hunter Biden’s overseas business deals.



House Speaker Kevin McCarthy recently floated launching an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.



Joe Biden lied about his involvement in his son Hunter’s international shakedowns.



Senator Chuck Grassley released an FBI document showing Joe Biden was involved in a $10 million bribery scheme with a Ukrainian oligarch.


Grassley on Thursday released the FBI document showing Joe Biden was involved in a $10 million bribery scheme with Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky.



The FD-1023 form alleged then-Vice President Joe Biden FORCED Zlochevsky, a Ukrainian oligarch, to pay himself and his son Hunter Biden a total of $10 million.



According to the document, Biden’s bribery arrangement was described as “poluchili,” which is Russian crime slang for being “forced or coerced to pay.”



Hunter Biden this week admitted under oath he earned money from China, contradicting Joe Biden’s previous claims.



“I started a company called Hudson West, your Honor, and my partner was associated with a Chinese energy company called CEFC,” Hunter Biden told the court, according to transcript obtained by Fox News.



During the 2020 presidential debates, Joe Biden absurdly claimed his son Hunter has not made any money from China.



“My son has not made money in terms of this thing about what are you talking about China,” Joe Biden said.



Joe Biden was also involved in Hunter Biden’s business with CEFC.



Rob Walker, a Biden family associate, recounted a time where Joe Biden walked into a meeting with CEFC officials at a Four Seasons.



“Walker went on to describe an instance in which the former Vice President showed up at a CEFC meeting. Walker said: “We were at the Four Seasons and we were having lunch and he stopped in, just said hello to everybody. I don’t even think he drank water. I think Hunter Biden said, ‘I may be trying to start a company or try to do something with these guys and could you?’ And I think he was like, if I’m around and he’d show up,” Shapley told lawmakers, citing his conversation with Rob Walker.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley revealed Hunter Biden demanded payment from his Chinese business associate over WhasApp messenger.



Jonathan Turley said it’s time for the House of Representatives to launch an imepachent inquiry against Biden who has ‘clearly lied for years to the American people.’



“We often talk about the powers of Congress and not its obligations. What is the House supposed to do? You know, you have a president who has clearly lied, lied for years, lied to the American people, lied through his representatives at the White House during his presidency. He obviously did know about these deals. He had involvement with some of these meetings,” Turley said.



Turley added, “There was money that went to China. And then you’ve got IRS agents saying that the fix was in, that this case was actively managed to avoid serious charges for the president’s son. You have millions of dollars moving through a labyrinth of accounts. You have a trusted source saying that there was a bribery allegation. The crime that is the second one mentioned in the impeachment clause.”



“So what are you supposed to do about that? And the answer is you have to investigate. And an impeachment inquiry gives the House that ability. It doesn’t mean they’re going to impeach. It means they’re taking the responsibility seriously no matter what the administration may want out of this. The one thing the House cannot allow is for these questions to go unanswered,” he said.

Trump on Impeaching Biden: ‘This Guy Has Stolen Millions of Dollars’; Will Let Congress Decide but Hope They Do ‘the Proper Thing’

BEDMINSTER, New Jersey — Former President Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for president in 2024, told Breitbart News exclusively that while he is not explicitly publicly calling for his successor, Democrat President Joe Biden’s, impeachment, he hopes Congress does the “proper thing.”



House Speaker Kevin McCarthy floated last week that Congress may be on the verge of pursuing an impeachment inquiry against Biden. To do so, Congress would need a majority vote—218 members of the House—to authorize the significant escalation. Opening an impeachment inquiry is not a vote to impeach the president, though such a move could come later, but it is an extraordinary step in that direction that also infuses new powers into the Congress as it pursues information to make a case against the president.



Trump, who was impeached twice—once over a phone call he had with Ukrainian president Volodomyr Zelensky and the second time over January 6—argued in a nearly hour-long on-camera interview that Biden has “stolen millions of dollars.”



“They impeached me over a perfect phone call,” Trump said. “This guy has stolen millions of dollars and done worse than that—look at what he’s done to the country with the inflation, with the energy, with taking away people’s rights, with the weaponized DOJ. No, they impeached me over a perfect phone call. Here’s a guy who has stolen millions of dollars and done other things that are so bad. Our country is in a position where it’s just so sad to see what’s happening.”



Asked whether he wants to see an impeachment inquiry against Biden proceed, Trump demurred, saying he did not wish to comment on it—but that he does hope Congress does the “proper thing,” thereby strongly suggesting he would back such a push. Even so, Trump made it clear he wants to let Republicans in Congress make their own decision on this front.



“I don’t want to comment on it, but I think people understand—nobody’s ever seen anything like that,” Trump said. “We’ll see what they do. Let them make their decision. They should do the proper thing. Let them make their decision.”

On Monday Devon Archer told House investigators that Joe Biden met with Hunter Biden’s clients numerous times, joined into meetings over the phone, and the family was rewarded with tens of millions of dollars for influence peddling and bribery schemes.


On Monday night Chairman Comer told Greg Kelly that Speaker McCarthy called and they discussed steps in impeachment following today’s explosive hearing.



Greg Kelly: How can a guy like this stay in office? You heard Speaker McCarthy. He’s talking about impeachment… If this is bribery, that’s in the Constitution. I mean, do you think he’s going to get impeached? Should he be impeached?



Chairman James Comer: Well, I know how I would vote, but again, that’s a decision for Speaker McCarthy. But I’ll tell you this. Right before I came on the show, speaker McCarthy called me and I gave him a rundown of what was said today. And we talked about steps moving forward. So stay tuned.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it would be a waste of time for Congress to open an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.



Joe Biden’s crimes are stacking up.



According to credible IRS whistleblowers, bank statements, emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop, credible informants and other witnesses, Joe and Hunter Biden were involved in highly lucrative bribery schemes with Ukrainians, Russians, Romanians, China and other countries.


The House of Representatives should have impeached Joe Biden long ago.



Speaker McCarthy keeps kicking the impeachment can down the road.



Pelosi, who rushed through two unconstitutional slap-dash impeachments against Trump, is now saying it would be a waste of time for Congress to impeach Joe Biden.



“[The Republican Party] has nothing to offer the American people in terms of jobs – they talk about it but then they change the subject when it’s time to deliver,” Pelosi said on MSNBC.



Pelosi went on to say she hopes the Democrats take back Congress in 2024 so they don’t ‘waste time’ on an impeachment inquiry.

Mitch McConnell Urges House Republicans to Avoid Biden Impeachment

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has urged House Republicans to avoid impeaching President Joe Biden.



Speaking to the New York Times in an interview published Tuesday, McConnell said that he does not want to continue the impeachment cycle that Democrats started two years ago when they impeached former President Trump on dubious charges.



“I said two years ago, when we had not one but two impeachments, that once we go down this path it incentivizes the other side to do the same thing,” McConnell said.



“Impeachment ought to be rare,” he added. “This is not good for the country.”



Republicans have been stepping up calls to impeach President Joe Biden for his alleged involvement in his son Hunter’s pay-for-play schemes with foreign governments. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has signaled his willingness to open impeachment proceedings.



“I think there’s enough proof out there that this Biden family needs to come forward and show there wasn’t a pay-to-play,” McCarthy said recently.



McCarthy further said that impeachment “empowers Congress, Republicans and Democrats of their committee, to be able to get the information if somebody fights from providing it to them.”



Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) recently attempted to deflect impeachment inquiries by claiming that Republicans only want to distract from the president’s economic accomplishments.



“This is a diversionary tactic. They just can’t stand the fact that we had a job report of over nearly 200,000 jobs today, that unemployment is 3.5 percent, 18 straight months of unemployment being under 4 percent. We’re talking about 13.4 million jobs created with Joe Biden in the White House, and working with the congressional Democrats,” she told MSNBC.



“They have to change the subject. And they have nothing to offer the American people in terms of jobs and the rest. They talk about it, but then they change the subject when it’s time to deliver. I’m so proud of the Democrats in the Congress,” she continued.

Exclusive–Conservative Leaders Call on House GOP to Open Impeachment Inquiry

Conservative leaders are calling on House Republicans to open an impeachment inquiry against the “corrupt occupant of the White House,” President Joe Biden, according to a Conservative Action Project Memo obtained exclusively by Breitbart News.



The memo lists thirteen points as to why the group is urging Congressional Republicans to launch an impeachment investigation, citing his role in his son Hunter’s foreign business and his campaign’s effort to have reporting on it censored in the leadup to the 2020 election, at the top, among a litany of other reasons. The memo opens:



Recent revelations from the House Committee on the Judiciary, the House Committee on Ways and Means, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, and the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government have established without question that Joe Biden has been engaged in criminal misconduct for decades, and that he lied to the American people about his son Hunter Biden’s criminal conduct and his own culpability and involvement in the Biden crime family business.



“The findings also reveal ongoing unlawful actions directed by the Biden White House to suppress the free speech rights of the American people and special targeting of those who dare to espouse opinions and views the Biden White House doesn’t agree with,” the letter from leading conservatives continues. “The evidence continues to mount – and can no longer be ignored.”



“Joe Biden is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors, warranting the opening of an impeachment inquiry, which must ultimately result in impeachment by the House and removal by the United States Senate of Joe Biden as President of the United States.”

The memo calls on House Republicans to not to let:



Joe Biden and his criminal enterprise family to escape scrutiny, prosecution and punishment for actual crimes against the American people while the Biden Administration is allowed to advance politically motivated proceedings against former President Trump and other citizens who dare to oppose the Biden Administration.



“The House must take steps to protect our nation from these attacks and criminal enterprises by Joe Biden, his family, and his political appointees who are, by their actions, turning the United States of America from a Constitutional Republic into a banana republic.”



House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is willing to open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden if “necessary,” House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Breitbart this month.

The mechanism of an impeachment inquiry is an aggressive congressional probe that usually occurs before a potential articles of impeachment vote. If the House approves the impeachment articles, they are conveyed to the Senate for approval.



Jordan told Breitbart he thinks McCarthy would be supportive of the move, but hedged that Congress is still working “to get the facts.”



“If at some point it’s necessary … that we have to go to an impeachment inquiry, … he [McCarthy] is willing to do that,” he told Breitbart. “But right now, it’s incumbent upon us to get our work done and do what the Constitution requires.”



“I think the Speaker has been clear,” Jordan added. “We’re going to do our work … to get the facts and get the documents, to get the information we need.

McCarthy Says He'll Move on Impeachment Next Month if Biden Doesn't Comply with Demands

Incumbent President Joe Biden has long been on the proverbial hot seat, well before the specter of 2024 re-election began looming large.



The state of the economy, out-of-control inflation and skyrocketing gas prices have all contributed to Biden being as deeply unpopular as any president in recent history.



Given all that, a 2024 re-election bid was always going to be an uphill slog for Biden and his team — and that’s before a slew of attempts to impeach the president.



None of those threats of impeachment carry the same weight as the one from Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, however, and he’s starting to turn the heat up on those threats.



Speaking to Fox Business’s Larry Kudlow, McCarthy shared some fascinating insights and timelines into prospective impeachment proceedings against Biden.

“So I take it, if I understand you, you as Speaker McCarthy have not yet made up your mind whether to actually launch an impeachment inquiry [against President Biden],” Kudlow said.



“Well, listen,” McCarthy began. “The thing that holds up whether to do [an] impeachment inquiry: Provide us the documents we’re asking. The whole determination here is how the Bidens handle this.

“If they provide us the documents, there wouldn’t be a need for impeachment inquiry. But if they withhold the documents and fight like they have now to not provide to the American public what they deserve to know, we will move forward with impeachment inquiry when we come back into session.”



Two quick points of clarification:



The documents McCarthy is speaking of are related to purported illegal business dealings involving Hunter Biden (and which purportedly enriched the president, as well.)


If articles of impeachment do move forward, it wouldn’t be until September. Congress is off the entire month of August, so “when we come back into session” would be Sept. 5.

While McCarthy appears to be taking his time in how best to approach the unenviable task of impeaching a sitting president, the same cannot be said of some of his GOP colleagues.



Earlier this month, Republican Rep. Greg Steube of Florida leapfrogged his colleagues to eschew protocol and filed four articles of impeachment against Biden.

While that may be a more brazen example of impeachment efforts against the incumbent president, it’s hardly the only example.



Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert have both expressed that Biden should be impeached, as has Montana Rep. Matt Rosendale. Republican Reps. Jim Jordan and Ralph Norman have also jumped on this sentiment.



While all of those aforementioned lawmakers obviously wield some power, none are the Speaker of the House, and thus none of their impeachment inquiries carry the same heft as McCarthy’s.



And based on that interview with Kudlow, McCarthy is inching ever closer (both literally and temporally) to that Sept. 5 due date.



That’s bad news for Biden.

McCarthy: Democrats ‘Very Concerned’ About Biden Impeachment

During this week’s broadcast of FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) laid out the prospects of an impeachment inquiry once Congress returns from August recess.



According to the California Republican, some Democrats were “very concerned” about the impeachment prospects.



“What other evidence are you seeking in order to bring that? Do you need more evidence to prove to your members? Do you have the votes for an inquiry?” host Maria Bartiromo asked.



“Well, we have been out on summer recess right now working in the district. When we go back, we will discuss this. But we find new information each week. We did not know about the whistle-blowers coming forth. We did not know of all these times that the president lied to the American public. Each step we take contradicts what the Bidens had said before. Could you imagine being a sitting vice president, and your family’s members set up 20 shell companies? They don’t — American companies don’t do that. And then they deal with foreign countries, that you have got 16 of 17 payments from Romania while you’re vice president. And then we have the vice president, now president, claiming that he utilized American tax dollars to withhold from Ukraine to get a prosecutor fired.”



“We just recently found out during break from a business partner with Hunter Biden that they were being pressured when they were on that board to try to do something about that prosecutor, he continued. “So there’s a lot of questions still. And to be able to get the answers to these questions, you would need an impeachment inquiry to empower Congress, Republicans and Democrats, to be able to get the answers that the American people deserve to know. I have had Democrats now tell me they’re very concerned because they back this president based upon what he told America. And with each turn, we find that is not true.”

MTG Demands Biden’s Impeachment: ‘We Have So Much Evidence – What the Hell Is Wrong with Republicans?’

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) asked the million-dollar question as her fellow Republicans continue to slow-walk on efforts to impeach Democrat President Joe Biden.



Greene argues that there is now ample evidence to begin an impeachment inquiry.



However, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and other GOP leaders are failing to move forward.



Greene is now demanding to know “what the hell is wrong with Republicans.”



“I can’t comprehend that we need any more evidence,” Greene asserted during an appearance on Real America’s Voice.



“We have so much,” the congresswoman noted.



“Let’s talk about what an impeachment inquiry is — An impeachment inquiry is just asking the question.



“We’re just asking members of Congress, ‘Do you think we should inquire about impeachment?’



“It’s not saying do we want to impeach, right?



“Should we just ask the question?



“And at this point right now, I’m like, what the hell is wrong with Republicans?!



“That we can’t just — ‘Hey, guys, maybe ask the question.’

“Maybe we should just ask and think about it and look at it and investigate in a much broader way.



“And with more subpoena power, just ask the question.



“I’ve been at home hanging out with all the great, wonderful, normal people that actually have a brain and have common sense and are asking me every day, ‘Marjorie, when is Congress going to move on with this impeachment inquiry?’



“And I can’t comprehend we haven’t done it yet.



“The reason why I’m confident is we had a House GOP call yesterday and that was his big push on the call.



“So I think if we were to have the vote today right now, Kevin McCarthy would be one of the first ones to vote yes.



“So it’s not our speaker.



“It’s still some of these few remaining Republicans that may have won a Biden district or they for whatever reason, I don’t know.



“But I think that our conference is coming together and we should be voting on this in September.



“If we don’t, I think you’re going to see the Marjorie Taylor Greene you’ve always known.

Comer: Biden Impeachment Inquiry ‘Imminent’

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has asserted that an impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden is now “imminent.”



The comment from Comer comes amid mounting pressure on Republicans to move forward with the process after months of investigations and slow-walking.



Comer has been leading the investigations into the Biden family’s foreign influence-peddling business.



The congressman told Fox News host Sean Hannity that a vote on proceeding with an impeachment inquiry is incoming.



“There’s consensus in our conference now that we are going to have to go to the impeachment inquiry,” Comer said.



“Obviously, that will be Speaker McCarthy’s call, but I feel like we’re there now, Sean.



“I feel like that is imminent.”

The White House has said that the president was never involved in Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals, which have come under scrutiny from investigators, or aware of what was going on, but House Republicans say that the evidence points otherwise.



“I am here to tell you, Sean, Joe Biden was front and center,” Comer said.



“He met with every one of these people that he claimed he never met with, that he never spoke to, and we are putting together the timeline where Hunter Biden was traveling to many of these countries on Air Force Two while Joe Biden was vice president.”



The Oversight Committee on Wednesday called on the National Archives to produce records detailing when and where Hunter had access to Air Force Two.


According to recent reports, Hunter accompanied then-Vice President Biden on more than a dozen foreign trips on Air Force Two — the name given to any plane currently transporting the Vice President of the United States.



Some Republicans in the House have already filed to impeach the president, including Florida Rep. Greg Steube and Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles.



“It’s long past time to impeach Joe Biden,” Stebue said in a statement earlier this month.



“He has undermined the integrity of his office, brought disrepute on the Presidency, betrayed his trust as President, and acted in a manner subversive of the rule of law and justice at the expense of America’s citizens.”



On Wednesday, South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman said that he believed it was time for the House to move forward with the inquiry and praised Comer’s investigative work.



“I don’t know what more people need,” he told Just the News.



“Now’s the time. If not now, when?”



“Since Republicans have taken over James Comer has done a great job of exposing – not hearsay, not innuendo, not anecdotal evidence – but direct evidence that links the leader of the free world, Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter, to a money laundering scheme,” he added.



In a Sunday Truth Social post, President Donald Trump said that House Republicans should “IMPEACH the BUM, or fade into OBLIVION,” saying an inquiry was not needed.



“The Republicans in Congress, though well-meaning, keep talking about an Impeachment ‘Inquiry’ on Crooked Joe Biden,” he posted.



“Look, the guy got bribed, he paid people off, and he wouldn’t give One Billion Dollars to Ukraine unless they ‘got rid of the Prosecutor.’



“Biden is a Stone Cold Crook-You don’t need a long INQUIRY to prove it, it’s already proven.”

McCarthy Details Impeachment Inquiry Process: ‘If We Move Forward,’ It ‘Would Occur Through a Vote’ on House Floor

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy made clear to Breitbart News on Friday that if House Republicans move forward with an impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden, the move would come not as an announcement from him or anyone else, but from a formal vote on the floor of the House.



“To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans would not take it lightly or use it for political purposes. The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives,” McCarthy told Breitbart News. “That’s why, if we move forward with an impeachment inquiry, it would occur through a vote on the floor of the People’s House and not through a declaration by one person.”



Doing so would require a majority—at least 218 votes, assuming the House is at full attendance for such a vote—of members of the House to vote for such a move. While opening a formal impeachment inquiry is not a vote to impeach the president, it is a massive escalation by the lower chamber of Congress towards doing so—and it would also provide the House with extraordinary new investigative and law enforcement powers in terms of compelling testimony, enforcing subpoenas, and digging into Biden’s behavior and the culture of corruption surrounding the president.


McCarthy’s statement here is significant in multiple respects. First, the speaker has been taking steps towards building up to an impeachment inquiry in the fall—previewing such a move before and during the August recess in interviews and public remarks. Continued revelations through a variety of avenues—from the House Oversight Committee and House Judiciary Committee to federal courts, including, especially, the collapsed plea agreement between the president’s son, Hunter Biden, and the Justice Department and more—have also increased the likelihood of the House moving in such a direction. This latest statement from the speaker makes clear that an impeachment inquiry is on his mind and that the House is seriously considering such a move.



Secondly, and perhaps equally importantly, the speaker is making clear the process by which the House would pursue such an escalation—and also differentiating the possible House GOP impeachment inquiry from the House Democrats’ first such impeachment inquiry into then-President Donald Trump in 2019. For the opening of that one, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi simply announced by proclamation that the House was conducting an impeachment inquiry into Trump—and only weeks later did the House formally vote on such a development. McCarthy is making clear that is not how the House GOP would operate, thereby lending more credence and credibility to any eventual such move. The Democrats’ first impeachment of Trump was mired in political controversy and eventually fell down on partisan lines leading to Trump’s acquittal. Trump was impeached a second time later at the end of his presidency and was also acquitted on that one by the Senate, but that second impeachment had bipartisan support, with ten House Republicans voting for it and several Senate Republicans joining them.


That is not to say that even doing everything properly and correctly would mean that an eventual possible impeachment of Biden would cross party lines; it probably would not, as Democrats are much more likely to be partisan animals and, regardless of the facts, stick with their guy. However, doing it properly and orderly allows McCarthy and House Republicans the ability to dismiss Democrat nonsense criticisms from the outset—and structure it in such a way that maximizes exposure politically for Biden heading into an election year.



If the House were to move forward with opening an impeachment inquiry in September or October, for what it is worth, the investigation would likely take months before any vote on Articles of Impeachment against Biden—if such a vote ever comes. That could mean an impeachment and a trial for Biden in the Senate—Senate rules require a trial quickly after an impeachment is delivered from the House—could come right before the November 2024 election in the summer or fall of 2024.



Establishment media outlets, meanwhile, are currently obsessed with Trump’s various legal processes and the timing that those could play out under in 2024 in and around key moments throughout the election. Surely, Trump’s various legal woes are important and should command a level of interest, especially if he hangs on to his essentially insurmountable lead and wins the GOP nomination for president again.


But if this whole impeachment inquiry and eventual possible impeachment process play out as it could with Biden, it’s possible that the bigger story in 2024 will be the corruption of the sitting president, Democrat Joe Biden, and the efforts of Congress to hold Biden accountable up to and including a trial in the United States Senate. Whether or not Biden is eventually convicted in the Democrat-controlled Senate on any Articles of Impeachment the House may pass after an impeachment inquiry may also be irrelevant because the real jury Biden would face would be the American voting public at the polls in November 2024—if it all plays out like that.

White House Quietly Takes Major Steps to Prepare for Impeachment: Report

The Biden administration has spent the August congressional recess ramping up its defense strategy in preparation for what increasingly appears to be an inevitable impeachment push from the Republican-controlled House.



According to an exclusive article from NBC News purportedly based on statements from eight unnamed sources, President Joe Biden has established a cohort of 24 “lawyers, legislative aides and communications staffers” over the past several months to defend him in case of a formal impeachment inquiry.



NBC categorized the administration’s planned strategy as “aggressive” and “vigorous,” and said the team had spent the last month looking into past statements from Republicans to create messaging showing any impeachment process as a “sham.”



House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, however, told Fox News Sunday that impeachment was “a natural step forward” based on what House Republicans had learned so far.



“Only because Republicans took the majority have we found out what President Biden told us when he was running for office is not true,” McCarthy said, according to a transcript from Fox News. “He said he never had any dealings with his son’s business and that he never even talked to them. We’ve now found out that not only did he call in to the meetings, he went to dinner. And after the dinner, Hunter Biden got a new Porsche that there was $3.5 million transferred. We now found out as he was a sitting vice president, the family created 20 shell companies. They received 16 of 17 payments from Romania while he was vice president. We now found that the money would flow to nine family members.”



“We also have a DOJ that gave us tried to give a sweetheart deal to Hunter Biden, and the judge said no,” McCarthy added. “So if you look at all the information we’ve been able to gather so far, it is a natural step forward that you would have to go to an impeachment inquiry.”



The speaker said the Biden family had to answer to the American people for what “looks like a culture of corruption.”



White House staffers, needless to say, disagreed.



“Comparing this to past impeachments isn’t apples to apples or even apples to oranges; it’s apples to elephants,” one White House aide told NBC. “Never in modern history has an impeachment been based on no evidence whatsoever.”


According to a source NBC described as “familiar” with the administration’s defense strategy, the team has looked into then-President Bill Clinton’s defense when the Republican-controlled House impeached him in 1998.



During that impeachment process, Republicans lost five seats in the November 1998 House elections, and then lost two additional seats in the 2000 election (perhaps unsurprisingly, as Texas Gov. George W. Bush lost the popular vote by a narrow margin to Vice President Al Gore).



Both Clinton and former President Donald Trump saw significant boosts to their approval ratings during the impeachment proceedings that occurred while they were in the White House.



Biden apparently hopes to see Republicans pay a similar political price this time around, should they proceed with impeachment.



That question is by no means settled. A number of Republicans, particularly those from districts that Biden won in 2020, have expressed skepticism about the appropriateness of impeachment.



“We’ve got to get back to a point where impeachment is what it was intended to be,” said Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, who represents a district Biden won, according to NBC News. “I feel like, you know, both in the last cycle and in this cycle, we’re converting into essentially a vote of no confidence in the British Parliament. And I don’t want to see our country go down that path.”



Nebraska Republican Don Bacon said investigations should continue, but it was still “too early” to launch formal proceedings.



“We should have more confidence that actual high crimes and misdemeanors occurred before starting a formal impeachment inquiry,” he told NBC.



If the House does go forward with a formal impeachment process, the Biden White House says it will probably help the president more than hurt him.



“I wouldn’t say anybody here is rooting for that to happen, like, ‘Please impeach, because this is going to help us,'” another unnamed source told NBC. “But if they do it, if they go through with it, I think there are going to be political ramifications for the Republican Party.”

Comer: ‘I Do Believe We Have the Votes for Impeachment Inquiry’

House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said Thursday on Newsmax TV’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight” that he believes he has the votes in the House to open an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.



Comer said, “I do believe that we have the votes for impeachment inquiry. I think that with the revelation of all these emails, you know that Joe Biden was communicating with Hunter Biden about his business about all of the corruption that he was involved in. I think that was the straw that broke the camel’s back with a few of the Republicans that were a little nervous about going the route of impeachment inquiry. They realized that we need this tool to be able to win in court because that’s where we’re headed. We’ve just about picked all the low-hanging fruit.”



He added, “I think that the House will vote in September. Now, this is all up to Kevin McCarthy, but he and I’ve had several conversations. I know Jim Jordan has spoken with him many times as well. I would predict that in the middle of September, we have a vote. I will predict that it passes, and I will predict that we will use that with all these government agencies that are refusing to turn over valuable information like the National Archives.”

Mace: Biden Impeachment Is ‘Window Dressing,’ It’s ‘Not Going Anywhere’

Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) said on FNC’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that the impeachment of President Joe Biden was “window dressing.”



Guest Host Dagen McDowell said, “So there are two things on the Republicans’ plate in the House come Tuesday. It’s not just the impeachment inquiry, but also funding the government, a potential continuing resolution as you tackle the funding the government and the appropriations bills. Those are push and pull, if you will. I know that among the House Freedom Caucus, other conservatives have urged Speaker McCarthy to force deeper spending cuts, attach GOP priorities to any short or long-term bill that the likes of Matt Gaetz, he wants an impeachment inquiry.”



She continued. “Some people feel that the impeachment inquiry is being kind of dangled as a carrot, as a shiny object in order to get a just a continuing resolution pushed through. How does this play out in getting at least the government funded in the short run?”



Mace said, “Well, impeachment is just window dressing. It’s not going to go anywhere. We need real spending cuts. We need real measures. I mean, and when we look at the potential for a government shutdown in the next couple of weeks, it’ll happen before October, if it happens at all. That is a real risk right now.”

Speaker McCarthy Changes Tune, Vows to Greenlight Biden’s Impeachment This Week

Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has suddenly changed his tune and vowed to greenlight Democrat President Joe Biden’s impeachment this week.



The move comes after delaying the inevitable for months.



Several Republicans have accused McCarthy of protecting Biden with many suggesting his slow-walking could trigger the end of his speakership.



McCarthy said earlier:



“To open an impeachment inquiry is a serious matter, and House Republicans will not take it lightly or use it for political purposes.



“The American people deserve to be heard on this matter through their elected representatives.



“That’s why, if we move forward with an impeachment inquiry, it would occur through a vote on the floor of the People’s House and not through a declaration by one person.”



As Slay News reported last week, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) threatened to get rid of McCarthy as speaker if he didn’t get tough with Biden.



The government runs out of money at the end of the month and many in the GOP want Kevin to play hardball.



A number of House Republicans had threatened to shut the government down if McCarthy didn’t move forward with Biden’s impeachment.

Speaker Kevin McCarthy plans to tell House Republicans in a closed meeting this week that launching an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden is the “logical next step” in the GOP’s probes of the president and his son, Hunter Biden.



McCarthy and the House Republican leadership scheduled a closed-door session for Thursday morning so that members could get an update on the investigations led by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and House Oversight Committee Chair Jamie Comer (R-Ky.).



McCarthy plans to say that the two chairs have uncovered enough information that necessitates the House formalizing the impeachment inquiry in order to obtain the Bidens’ bank records and other documents.



This is, of course, a huge step for McCarthy and House Republicans.



The investigations haven’t uncovered any direct evidence that Biden personally profited off his son’s foreign work.



It remains to be seen whether there are 218 House Republicans who’d vote to authorize an impeachment inquiry.

Kevin McCarthy Directs Jim Jordan to Open Formal Impeachment Inquiry into Biden

Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has just directed House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) to officially open an impeachment inquiry into Democrat President Joe Biden.



Moments ago, McCarthy announced the GOP-controlled House will finally move forward with plans to impeach Biden.



The move comes after months of investigations have uncovered mountains of evidence to suggest the president and his son Hunter Biden have been running a foreign influence-peddling business.



The evidence, which includes bank records and witness testimony, indicates that Joe Biden took millions of dollars in bribes while serving as Obama’s vice president.



In a Tuesday statement, McCarthy said the evidence now warrants a formal impeachment inquiry.



McCarthy said: “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption and warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives.



“That’s why today I am directing our House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.”



McCarthy said House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY), House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO), and Jim Jordan will lead the impeachment inquiry.

“Witch Hunt!” – Schumer Lashes Out at McCarthy For Announcing Impeachment Inquiry Against Joe Biden (VIDEO)

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Tuesday lashed out at Speaker McCarthy and accused him of spearheading a “witch hunt” for announcing an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.



Speaker McCarthy on Tuesday announced he is directing House committees to open an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden.



McCarthy scrambled to make a bold move as Congressman Matt Gaetz threatened to remove him as House Speaker.



“I am directing our House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. Over the past several months, House Republicans have uncovered serious and credible allegations into President Biden’s conduct—a culture of corruption,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy continued, “Biden used his official office to coordinate with Hunter Biden’s business partners about Hunter’s role in Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company. Finally, despite these serious allegations, it appears that the President’s family has been offered special treatment by Biden’s own administration–treatment that not otherwise would have received that they were not related to the President.



Schumer isn’t too happy now that the shoe is on the other foot.



The New York Democrat was quick to convict Trump during Pelosi’s slap-dash impeachment of Trump but now he’s crying like a baby.



“I think the impeachment inquiry is absurd. The American people want us to do something that will make their lives better, not go off on these chases and, uh, witch hunts,” Schumer said.



“The bottom line is, as we have said, you can only accomplish keeping the government open in a bipartisan way,” Schumer added.

House Republicans recently announced they now have reviewed 170 suspicious activity reports linked to the Biden Crime Family.



House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan highlighted the suspicious activity reports and the millions of dollars that flowed to the Bidens.



“The fundamental question is: what did [Biden’s family] do to warrant the receipt of millions and millions of dollars?” Jim Jordan said.



“Why did Joe Biden’s brother, why did Joe Biden’s sister-in-law, why did Joe Biden’s son — why did so many family members get the money?” he said.



Comer identified the NINE Bidens who are implicated in the corruption.



“Bank records show the Biden family, their associates, and their companies received over $10 million from foreign nationals and their companies,” Comer said.



“Joe Biden’s son. Joe Biden’s brother. Joe Biden’s brother’s wife. Hunter Biden’s girlfriend/Beau Biden’s widow, Hunter Biden’s ex-wife. Hunter Biden’s current wife. And 3 children of the president’s son and the president’s brother. So we’re talking about grandchildren – a grandchild. That’s odd. Most people that work hard every day a grandchild doesn’t get a wire from a foreign national,” Comer said.

Senator Chuck Grassley recently released the FBI document showing Joe Biden was involved in a $10 million bribery scheme with Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky.



The FD-1023 form alleged then-Vice President Joe Biden FORCED Zlochevsky, a Ukrainian oligarch, to pay himself and his son Hunter Biden a total of $10 million.



According to the document, Biden’s bribery arrangement was described as “poluchili,” which is Russian crime slang for being “forced or coerced to pay.”



Also, according to the document, Zlochevsky claims to have text messages and recordings that show he was FORCED to pay the Bidens to ensure Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin was fired.


Zlochevsky also retained two documents, presumably financial records, as evidence of the arrangement, according to the document.



Joe Biden publicly bragged about bribing Ukraine with $1 billion to fire Viktor Shokin, the Ukrainian Prosecutor General who was investigating Burisma corruption.



I “said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. He got fired,” Biden said in 2018.
